These are lovely little traditional Greek apartments, located high on a hill just outside of Oia, and had stunning views from my large terrace! The room was clean and spacious, quite basic but comfortable and had everything I needed including excellent aircon and good wifi. I booked for 4 nights and wish I'd stayed longer. It is a 10 minute walk along the road to beautiful Oia, and is very quiet at night, ideal to have some relaxing time on the balcony and admire the amazing sunset views.||||The apartments are very close to the trekking path that runs from Fira to Oia, and this has breathtaking views of the island. The bus stop is nearby, ideal for getting to Fira or other areas. There are a couple of supermarkets along the road and fantastic restaurants in Oia. Lots of places around to hire cars, mopeds and quadbikes too.||||The owners speak little English if any, but I had no problem communicating with them, they're a charming little old couple and the lady was always around if I needed something. Other English-speaking members of the family were on hand when needed. They even brought me breakfast with nice Greek coffee on my first morning which was really sweet :)||||I highly recommend staying here, it is the perfect base if you're after a budget break in a more traditional yet charming Greek setting. It is a good base for...
Read moreI was told I had to pay cash, no cards accepted, even though it says they accept cards online. I supposedly owed 160 euros, the full amount, even though they took 1 night plus taxes through expedia. I only had 120, so she said I could pay 40 tomorrow. At 7 pm, we were napping and she began pounding on the door. I jumped up to get dressed and she unlocked the door and came in. I ran in the bathroom and she left. At 10:30 pm, we'd just returned from dinner, and our door was open. She walked all the way into the room and began scolding us because the a.c. was on and the door was open. It didn't bother her that my teenage daughter was lying on the bed in her underwear. She continued to make her point in Greek, turn off the a.c. we're paying for, then leave. This hotel may not be too far from Oia, but when we reserved, it said it was in Oia, and the walk to Oia is 20 minutes, dangerous, and uphill all the way back. It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't 100 degrees and directly in the sun. Really, there is nothing to do here, unless you want over priced shipping and 4 wheelers. Save your money. I can't wait to get...
Read moreThe apartments are perfect size, each with its own small kitchen, bathroom in perfect conditions. Although the owners are an old couple who don't speak english or any other language, the rest of the family members are always around and are willing to help in any way.||Even though it does not include breakfast the family gave us Greek fruit in the morning. ||Location is a gem!!!It is located 15min walking from Oia but don't take the main road there is a small hidden road that is amazing and leads directly to Oia but with an amazing view of the ocean and the town ahead. On top of a hill there is a small church were watching the sunset is amazing.||The only downside of the place is that they do not allow payment in credit card but only cash. Which is a pain they do not say in advance and can bother some guests.||We will definitely be coming back to live more of this ultimate...
