Mike Grill House — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

We visited Mike's on our last night in Santorini. We were staying across the street at the Eucalyptus hotel (if you're there or nearby it's a super quick walk).

Really sad we waited so long to eat here because it was so good we could've gone back for more if we had time. I had the kebab and it was one of the tastiest things I tried on the island. It came with what seemed like a vinegar based coleslaw y absolute favorite) and it was delicious. Staff was very very friendly and helpful when we had questions about the menu. Tried my first Mythos here and even though I dislike beer I actually liked this one!

The icing on the cake was the dessert we were brought as a complimentary item (I think?). It was clearly Greek yogurt but with some strange orange stringy concoction atop. After test tasting we fell in love and finished the whole thing. A staff member informed us it was yogurt with honey and carrots (who knew??) Mike’s Grill House might be the closest thing to food heaven this side of town. I came in hungry, I left full, happy, and questioning every other life decision I’ve made that didn’t involve eating here sooner. First off, the food? Unreasonably delicious. Like, “I’d fight a bear for another bite” good. And then there's Mike, the owner. An absolute legend! Super friendly, welcoming, and just the kind of guy you'd trust to babysit your plants or help you move a couch. He even checked in to make sure everything was great, which of course it was. But the real twist? At the end of the meal there were complimentary mini ice cream cones. Yes. You read that right. Like a tiny magical dessert elf just handed you a cone of pure joy! Mike’s Grill House quickly became our absolute favorite dining spot in all of Santorini. It was the very first restaurant we visited upon arriving, and honestly, nothing we tried afterward came close. From that first meal, Mike’s set the bar incredibly high — and kept it there every time we returned.

The food? Simply unforgettable. Every dish was packed with flavor, cooked to perfection, and clearly made with love. But what truly made the experience exceptional was the genuine warmth and hospitality of Mike and his entire team. They didn’t just serve food — they welcomed us like family.

We found ourselves going back again and again, not just for the delicious meals, but for the heartfelt service and the memories we knew we’d cherish long after leaving Santorini.
