One of the most hospitable hotels in this price segment. Very attentive, friendly and honest staff you can trust. The room was perfectly clean, the cleaning lady was very polite and smiling. But for the first two days there was a strong smell of chemicals in the closet/cupboard area; I think that too strong products were used that did not erode. There is a refrigerator and air conditioning. I lived on the first floor. The pictures on Google map are outdated, the hotel has been renovated, the renovation is modern and comfortable in the Scandinavian style + a bit boho. Important: take slippers or warm socks with you, as the floor is tiled and it is very cold for feet. The bed is very comfortable. It's very pleasant to be in the room. But audibility is quite good, you can hear your neighbors. Convenient location, two steps away from a large grocery store, three stops (north, south, west and to the airport). Buses are very cheap, but often do not comply with the schedule, especially to Kamari. This hotel is an excellent choice for a budget traveler. the breakfast was disappointing because it was too simple, a lot of bread and sweets, for this price it is better to have breakfast somewhere nearby. The best and inexpensive pita and shawarma are nearby at Pollo. all the shortcomings were so minor compared to the design, service, price and cleanliness that I warmly...
Read moreThis hotel was a pleasant surprise, when we booked it we read a mix of reviews, some people had a bad experience and some people had a great one. I am delighted we didn’t let the bad reviews cross our mind while booking. ||The room we got was number 11, located on a side of the hotel which was helpful at night time to avoid the noise from the street. It’s a good size room with a small closet and a very comfortable king size bed, the shower was as great as the one we have at home which made us feel very comfortable. ||There is a small table and chairs outside the room for smokers and a some sort of clothes hanger to dry your wet beach gear. ||Julia, the lady at the reception was very friendly and efficient always ready to answer our questions and give us suggestions. ||There are some nice chairs and tables outside the hotel where you can chill out while having a drink and nuts that you are allowed to purchase from the supermarket across the road. ||There is breakfast offered but it has to be paid separately. We didn’t try it as we were never on time for it. ||This places is located 5 min from the airport by bus (1.80€ the ticket) or 7 min to Fira. ||We rented a squad and enjoyed every minute in Santorini going everywhere since we were very...
Read moreThis was our first time visiting Santorini and we picked this place because it was more budget friendly compared to the rest of what we were seeing on the island, plus it looked trendy and was not far from the airport.
Pros: good WiFi and convenience store across the street with ATM, super handy for getting water, booze, snacks, etc. restaurant next door is good too. Reception desk is helpful - we asked for help with bus times and they actually called the bus station for us. They also let us store our luggage after check out for a few hours before our ferry came
Cons: the room had a slight smell that we noticed and I doubt they changed our sheets for the three nights we were there as it felt sandy and I found a dried up contact in the bed as well that did not belong to us. The bathroom was really odd - shower curtain covered the drain and floor drain in bathroom did not work so on our first morning there the shower overflowed through the bathroom and under the room door down the main staircase and two hotel employees had to mop out our flooded room......
In retrospect it would have made more sense to stay in Thira where you are closer to more restaurants, rental places and the bus lines while still avoiding the sky high...
