The beach is considered one of the must sees in Santorini. The beach gets its name from the spectacular red cliffs that surround it. There is some parking located close to the access point . To get to the actual beach you have to climb up the hillside over the ridge and back down again.The beach sand is black and red and there’s not a lot of it so try to come early to get a space. I found this to be a beautiful location to visit and take photos. The day of my visit was unseasonably cold and the winds were extreme. The beach itself with the magnificent cliff behind is gorgeous but not so sure about wanting to spend to much time there as it is I would say a little scary (not to many places you can visit that has a warning about harm and death - look at my pictures).
