Definitely don't go there! They’re LIARS they just want to STEAL YOUR MONEY. Note: there are minimum consumption prices which differ according to the position of the deckchair on the beach. as if it were a luxury club when not at all!!! The others restaurant on the beach don’t do that.. I was shocked and disappointed.
Here is my story: The boy who takes care of the deckchairs is a liar. He tells me that if I want a deckchair I have to spend at least 25 EUROS. Once I am installed and the food I ordered has arrived, the PRICE CHANGES he tells me that I have to spend at least 50 EUROS because I have a parasol with two deckchairs ( when I am alone so I only use one). I refuse it’s unfair I’m alone I don’t understand why should I pay 25 more for the other deckchair that I don’t use and he tells me that there is no problem, that I CAN STAY THERE. I spend 30 euros for disgusting and frozen food. At the end of the day I go to pay and a young girl forces me to pay 50 euros. She dares to tell me that the boy told me to move to the back rows if I didn't want to pay 50 euros when it's FALSE he never told me this. Look at the bad google reviews they tells the same story. I felt forced and scammed. In short, RUN AWAY!! they take tourists for idiots. Go to other places like the Boat House where they don't charge you for deckchairs neither put you on a minimum consumption. You...
Read moreWe spend there five or six days because we liked their deal for sunbeds - in june you got them for free as long as you spend 15 euros for person (30 for two) for third and fourth row and 20 euro for person (40 for two) for first two rows - you don't have to order for 40 euros in the morning when you arrive, you can spend the money throughout the day. Jonas, guy who worked on sunbeds was great and working very hard. He can bring you everything from the menu. He even reserved sunbeds for us when he knew we will come next day. There are other restaurants that have sunbeds completelly free, but access to sea is not as good as at Saliveros. In other parts of Kamari, you have to walk over slippery stone when going to sea, but not here, here entrance to sea is great.
As for food - we started with full lunch, gyros and kalamari, it was good, but as we spend more and more days we were usually not as hungry as when we arrived to Kamari, so we only had like bagel or greek salad for lunch which was also great. And we enjoyed the fact it is family taverna. Lady who brought us food said she was born in the house above...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of enjoying dinner at Saliveros. Very welcoming, lovely family that run the restaurant. We enjoyed the delights of the traditional Greek cuisine. Being Greek myself and the son of a respected greek chef in the uk, i wanted to enjoy some of their traditional foods. Souvlaki is naturally a popular choice but, foods like Stifado, moussaka, soutzoukakia add many flavours and bring you closer to the local cuisine. I would recommend all 3. The beef Stifado was tender and full of flavour. The moussaka again straight from the oven and pipping hot a lovely mix of flavours. The soutzoukakia delicious. All meals arrived hot. We all enjoyed trying each others food. I also must mention, the taramasalata (tarama) starter was absolutely delicious. A light and creamy dip but delicately flavoured. So many fail to make this well, but here it was made so beautifully. I would highly recommend Saliveros. The welcome of a lovely Greek family combined with the delights of a traditional greek cuisine and...
