Fistikies — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

Only one word could describe my experience here and that is: WOW! From the service, to the food, to the decor, atmosphere and so on. I spent a long time thinking about how to describe the experience at Fistikies!💚 We tried various items on the menu, from Greek appetizers to steak, as well as most of the desserts. I'm not sure who their suppliers are, but the ingredients are of good quality and the chef is just WOW(again). Raw ingredients are cooked in a way that preserves their integrity. I mean, you don't have to be a chemist or Jamie Oliver to know that, but you can taste the food and know it's delicious. This place really has 5 ⭐️ I can't get over the aromas and taste. It was magnificent. Thank you very much for the experience. As you can see in the pictures, it is the perfect place to eat good food. The food: Excellently appetizing, the placement on the plate is bonus, you can actually see that it is a place where a lot of soul is put into the plate. 💘 This food is tasty and served elegantly. The menu is excellently thought out, diverse and with many options, so that even the most capricious person can find something to his taste. Waiters: Special people, well trained, very attentive and customer-oriented. Everyone helps each other, collaborates, as if there is no work, only pleasure. A big plus for all the staff who are kind, polite and classy. Prices: We can say that they have very good prices, especially since here you have rich dishes. I'll tell you honestly, I've eaten in many places and the prices at Fistikies are average, and I personally would pay more for this amazing food. Cleaning: exemplary cleanliness in the restaurant, on the terrace, but also in the bathroom. ! I recommend making a reservation as it is a very good restaurant, it can be full during peak hours. We didn't make a reservation but the waiters found us a place anyway. Hope to see you soon, Fistikies! The food was five stars but the service was one star. When we walked in we requested a table on the patio, we were warned that its windy and will be chilly and should consider sitting inside, we insisted we were ok and sat outside. After waiting 10 minutes with no menus they finally brought menus and asked again if we would move inside since it is so windy. It seemed they would not serve us unless we moved so we reluctantly agreed. Then when they asked for our drink order my girlfriend and I tried to order a liter of the house red wine to which we were told that is too much wine for us and we should get a half liter, and that is all that they brought us. We then ordered an appetizer which came quickly and was delicious. When ordering entrees i asked for a recommendation and the waiter had none to offer. When i asked what the best dish on the menu was he just said everything. So i had to choose what sounded best to me. The food came quickly and was delicious however we ran out of wine before we finished our meals and they cleared the empty carafe without asking if we would like a refill. Then once they cleared our plates we sat for over 25 minutes without any service, no food, nothing to drink. Finally my girlfriend walked to the host stand to request the check since it was clear our table was being ignored. When the waiter finally brought the check he asked if everything was ok and we told him about the service issue to which he responded it was the restuarants policy to not bother guests. That is fair if the guests have any food or drinks at all. We are in our late 20s and feel the waiter assumed from beginning we would not tip well. We are from the U.S. and always tip 20%. Instead he talked us out of the more expensive liter and since we were so frustrated we did not order dessert. In the end he only hurt his own tip. Highly recommend the food but be prepared...

So i was on a 3 week vacatiob across Greece. This was my last stop and second day in Santorini.

I came here on the recommendation of some nice local vendors i had met.

While to food was decent, the service was terrible.

I walked in and although several waoters saw me stabding there, no one made any attempt to ask if i wanted to be seated. I had to walk up to the physical counter ans poke my head in and ask for a table.

Upon being seated, no ta lemat, no menu no being told of any current specials ot recommendations. No one approached n Me. However i was seated outdoors in the courtyard surround on all sides witg other diners ans i clearly heard the waiter happily provide the daily sepcials and recommendations to the table beside me.

No one bothered to follow up to see of the food was ok or if anything else was needed.

Main dish came before my peach ice tea.

The level of service here sucks. They ignored me while clearly treated other diners around me differently.

Although this place.might have slighly better prices for food and might be more "local" than the myriad of restauants by Kamari beach, its not worth it foe the lack of attention.

I'm really disappointed. After being hyped up by the locals it fell short on service. Maybe its because they don't like tourists? I spent a decent amount. I ordered sea bream, peach ice team and cyclads salad. But service shouldnt be determined on how much you spend right?
