Celebrated my 40th birthday here for dinner with my partner and this was ultimately THE BEST dining experience in Santorini / Kamari by far and made for a very special experience.
The lady waitress was friendly and funny, cracked a joke while we were asking her for popular dishes and recommendations and the extensive menu left too many options and difficult for us to just ‘pick one’.
The (Greek?) bruschetta was simple and fresh but lacked the onion and balsamic I typically reference with this dish so if you want simple and fresh - this is a nice starter.
The changing of the plates in between entree and main made it feel like fine dining by the beach and the accompaniment of the hand towelettes provided to us was that little bit of TLC which you would normally expect and experience in fancy high end restaurants (we are from Sydney, Australia and do fine dining extremely well).
Both mains were INCREDIBLE. With the chicken risotto, cooked al dante and full of flavour and life, arrived to the table piping hot as if it came straight from the kitchen, directly to our table within seconds.
The seafood pasta (which I ordered) took me to another level and was out of this world!! The mix of seafood in the dish was cooked to perfection and the pasta sauce was on point and super flavourful!!! (No additional salt needed).
10/10 for both mains and would highly recommend them both if you get the chance to dine here!!
I am amazed at how incredibly hot the food came out and stayed hot for most of the duration of our mains, adding to such a great culinary experience.
To top it off, the male owner conversed with us and asked us where we from and what brought us here. To our surprise and without hesitation, we felt genuinely taken care of throughout our special dining experience especially towards the end when we asked for the check.
This restaurant holds a very special place in our overall 3 day Santorini visit. A MUST for anyone visiting Kamari.

Read moreInitially, I posted my review stating that" I don't understand how this restaurant can have such a high rating. We saw the menu photos, and in a year, the prices have skyrocketed. In 12 days in Greece, I think it was our worst experience. We ordered four dishes, and none of them met our expectations. The marinated anchovies were canned sardines, as the waiters confirmed when I complained about them. The grilled cheese portion was poor. The seafood salad was sparse, and the seafood itself wasn't particularly fresh. The meatballs could have been acceptable, but the meatball garnish wasn't. I don't recommend it at all."However, after speaking with the owner, I would like to clarify that this is a family business that aims to satisfy all its customers. The owner truly has good intentions, and as proof of this, he waived the charge for the two dishes we felt didn't meet our expectations. He also invited us to return another day so we could repeat the experience and try to correct his mistakes. That said, I find his attitude truly courageous, which is why I'm editing this review, increasing the...
Read moreOur dinner at Santo Athiri was the highlight of our culinary adventures on the island! From the moment we stepped in, we were wrapped in an atmosphere of genuine warmth and hospitality that made our vacation feel even more special.
The food was nothing short of spectacular, each dish was a vibrant celebration of fresh, local flavors. I'm convinced the chefs are magicians! But the true star of the evening was my partner's discovery: the Seafood Pasta. After the first heavenly bite, she was utterly enchanted. The combination of perfectly cooked pasta and the incredibly fresh, flavorful seafood was so memorable that it became her official vacation dish, ordered happily every time we had the chance! What truly elevated the experience from a great meal to an unforgettable memory was the incredible service, especially from Adonis. His attentive care and personal touch made us feel not just like customers, but like welcomed friends. We left with full hearts and happy stomachs, already dreaming of...
