A 3 star hotel with a 5 star feel and service. ALL of the staff are incredible; friendly, happy, positive, accommodating, they all go above and beyond. The entire hotel gets cleaned every morning, the even mop the floor around the pool everyday. The views are breathtaking, the location is fantastic- right on the beach front- you get free sun beds by the pool and the beach, they have great drinks options; all delivered to your pool or beach sunbeds, or you can chose to eat and drink at the pool side/beach front tables or stools at the bar. The pool is the largest in Santorini. You are a footstep away from the shops, restaurants and amenities. There is an open air cinema a 10 minute walk away, you are at the foot of the mountain that was home to the Ancient City of Thira; a boat taxi away from Persia and a taxi away from the capital Thira and the world famous white and blue domes of Oia. Oh and the transfer from the airport is like 15 minutes and you can rent 2 beach towels for 10euro deposit. I honestly don’t know what else you could ask for. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED :) I came with my 13 year old daughter and we are leaving very happy and fulfilled, with...
Read moreWe were disappointed with the beach - we were staying at the Blu Zaffron resort. We visited late season (mid-October) so not sure if beach condition is seasonal / due to storms. Beach was pebbly with large (but smooth) rocks to negotiate to get into water. That said, the water was great and crystal clear (due to very little sand) with comfortable temperature (around 22-24 deg C) and the beach itself was clean. There was also a ton of loungers with sun umbrellas, most belonging to the bars and restaurants along the promenade. You can use them free of charge if you buy food or drinks (since we were resort guests, we could use the ones at Toyko Joe Sushi without minimum buy). We liked the beach at Perissa much better, though there were much fewer bars / restaurants operating at the time compared to Kamari. Only problem its a 20-25 minute drive around the mountain (although there appears to be a private boat service at the south end of the Kamari promenade which should be much quicker, just not sure how...
Read moreKamari Beach in Santorini is truly a gem with an excellent location that captures the essence of the island's unique beauty. The striking black sand, a testament to the island's volcanic history, is both visually captivating and comfortable to walk on. The contrast between the dark sand and the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea creates a stunning and memorable scene.
What makes Kamari Beach even more special is its abundance of nearby restaurants and cafes. With a wide range of dining options, you can savor delicious Greek cuisine and other international dishes, all while enjoying the exceptional view of the sea and the ancient Thira mountain in the background. It's a dining experience that's hard to beat, especially during a sunset meal.
Kamari Beach strikes a wonderful balance between natural beauty and convenience, making it an ideal spot for those seeking a mix of relaxation, exploration, and exceptional dining with a view. It's no wonder that this beach remains a top choice for visitors...
