We were recommended to this taverna by our Airbnb host as it was located only a short walk away in the village. This was by far the best authentic Greek food we have had in our 2 weeks travelling through Greece so far. We were greeted by the amazing owner, who was so kind and friendly. Instantly making us feel at home, the vibes of the taverna were fantastic, traditional music and relaxed atmosphere, with the quaint tables and patio area. The food was incredible, we had a few starters and mains which were mouth watering and melted in our mouths. We were also treated to a free desert which tied our entire experience together. It's a pleasure to chat with him, learn about the local culture, or hear stories of the island. His energy is unmatched and adds a personal touch to the dining experience.
The food offers a tasteful journey through Greek cuisine, every dish is a reflection of traditional cooking techniques, complemented by fresh local ingredients.

Read moreAll home made traditional food made from fresh ingredients. If you are after very tasty homemade cooking then this is definitely what you are after. The fries did take longer to come out but that is a result of them making them fresh, not using froozen ones, but they are definitely worth the wait. Would definitely go back again!! If you are after fine dining experience maybe not the place to go, but if you are after traditional home cooking then highly recommend!
