Hands down the best kept secret in Santorini. Magda runs an amazing traditional Greek taverna in the ancient village of Magalochori. Lovely airy seating area in a quaint old backstreet. We ate here several times for breakfast with delicious coffee, omelettes and Greek yogurt with honey. For dinner the local white wine and traditional dishes home cooked and were to die for! The fava, the dakos, octopus salad, meatballs, local bread were all delicious and the price a fraction of anywhere else on the island. Around 8:00 they have live music every night and I’ve never seen more authentic and talented Greek performers. The men I saw perform played four different instruments in the two nights I saw them perform. One of which was an instrument I’ve never seen before, the bouzouki. I didn't find the decoration interesting at all, in fact I found the whole vibe and ambience pretentious. The worst thing was when I went in to pay and I saw a mess.
