I reached the Heart of Santorini just as the sun was starting to dip, and it felt like stepping into a postcard. The natural rock arch frames the Aegean perfectly, and as the light changes, the view becomes almost surreal — from golden tones to soft pinks, and finally that deep, calm blue.

Getting there takes a short walk on a dirt path, so wear comfortable shoes, especially if you’re aiming for sunset. It’s not a crowded spot compared to other viewpoints on the island, which makes it even more special. You can hear the wind, the occasional distant church bell, and nothing else — just pure Santorini magic.

I recommend arriving at least 20–30 minutes before sunset to take in the scenery and find your favorite angle for photos. 1 stars are not because the landmark is not worth visiting. It's because it's not a heart anymore. Tourists seem to leave their braincells at home when they visit Greece, now I'm not saying everyone is the same but the heart is not a heart anymore because hundreds of tourists would touch it. Now it's just a hole facing the caldera... Please people when you visit a place ask your receptionists what we should do so we don't become the tourists you would make fun of. Every country has it's customs, so research a little bit before you book a trip with thousands of euro so it won't be a waste. There is no entrance to the path when visiting make sure you wear trainers and if you decide to continue after the church make sure it's not too late in the day and that you aren't too tired to...
