Came to Raki based off the good reviews. Our experience started very well and then ended poorly. The staff was friendly and very helpful at describing the menu to us! They even let us try the local spirit raki when we were unsure of what it was. They had one slip up of forgetting to put our appetizer in, but rushed it out when we got our entree. To make up for it they gave us both a free drink on the house (or what we thought was free) Overall we thought we had an outstanding experience until the bill came. They overcharged us on BOTH entrees by 4-5 Euro. They charged us for the free drinks that they TOLD US were “on the house” AND they charged us for the app that they forgot to ring in and then INSINISTED we still needed after we got our entrees. Also, not sure if this is normal in Greece but, we had barely sat down and someone was pouring us bottled water (which we got charged for without ordering). We were going to order water anyways but you should ask someone if they want it before charging them for it. When confronting them about the Mischarges they acted as if they didn’t make a mistake and tried to explain each charge. We Felt as though we’re taken advantage of. If you go here, be careful and don’t fall for their charisma and charm. It’s fake and...
Read moreThird trip to Santorini and this was my best meal. Fresh. I loved the taste of Santorini tomatoes but over the past few days have had meals at highly rated restaurants that had bland tomatoes and and had frozen chips, undercooked, purporting to be fresh fried local potatoes. Just awful. At Raki we had a true Greek salad with beautiful tomatoes and feta, fried tomato balls with fresh tzatziki and chicken souvlaki skewers. Fresh, tasty and delicious. located in the town square it was perfect. It was the taste of Santorini of past. Friendly and attentive service. I have never done this but I sought out the owner to thank him for the meal. Go and treat yourself to great fresh food for two thirds the price you pay for meals in the more touristy areas where half the meal is under-cooked...
Read moreI recently visited this Greek restaurant and was blown away by the delicious food and warm atmosphere. The tzatziki was creamy and flavorful, the pitta bread was perfectly soft and the tomato balls were simply divine.
The service was attentive and friendly, making me feel right at home.
What really stood out to me was the authenticity of the dishes - I could tell that the ingredients were fresh and of high quality. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant also added to the overall experience. I especially appreciated the outdoor seating area, which was cozy and allowed for a lovely view of the city.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious Greek dining experience. I can't wait to return and try...
