Bebop — Restaurant in Paros Municipality

We had the spicy edamame beans, combo sushi for 2, the dessert and two mocktails. The cocktails were really good, and had alcohol free gin in it, so it actually tasted like a cocktail. (Very weird when you don’t drink but very fun!)

The sushi was adequate, it was a little bland and not really anything great. The edamame were dry, and definitely lacked a bit of salt or lemon juice. They were basically just poured in a bowl and topped with chili powder. The chili didn’t really go with the beans either, so it was a weird experience. The dessert was really good, I don’t like chocolate but my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed it, and the presentation of it was very beautiful.

The views are of course incredible, the chairs are horrible (tall metal chairs with no cushions) and the service was very very sweet and attentive. We came at a good time, as it seemed like a bit of a line after we had sat down. So try to get there a bit early...

I am not one to review restaurants, especially not negatively. But, I felt as though this needed to be shared…. We wanted to try this restaurant due to its raving reviews on social media, however we were quite misled. Upon walking in, the host/waiter literally just stared at us. No “Hi, how can I help you” or anything. They looked at us as if we were intruding. I then asked “Are you guys open?” out of confusion, and they confirmed that they were. I then had to ask them to be seated. Why is this happening in a restaurant? I’m not sure if this was because we are not Greek or because we were Black women, but we felt extremely unwanted. An amazing restaurant and cocktail bar! A secret gem in Parikia Paros and must-try! I’m a Greek that was living 3 years in Lima Perú and it’s the first restaurant in Greece where the Peruvian dishes taste exactly like the Peruvian dishes in Peru!!!! It was like traveling back to Peru for a few hours. The location amazing, the vibe chic and chill, the service amazing and very friendly and the food on another level!!! Elevated food concept with an incredible appearance! Definitely going back and trying the rest of the menu! My German and Swiss friends were also very happy.
