If you’re looking for a two-star hotel with five-star service, then STOP SCROLLING – you’ve come to the right place! Now sit back and relax while I take you on a journey through all the glimmering facets which seamlessly merge into this lovely, little Cycladic gem of hospitality, rightfully named Oasis Hotel Paros.
RESERVATIONS: I booked sort of late, so I wasn’t expecting much (or any) availability, but not only did they have availability for the dates I wanted, they responded the same evening, they let me complete the booking through email instead of calling, AND they even split my reservation between two different rooms so that I could have a nicer room on the third night, which I know was extra work, modification and communication on their part, but believe me, it didn’t go unnoticed. Their reservation team made everything so easy on me, and it was greatly appreciated.
BILLING: They notified me immediately when I accidentally overpaid via bank transfer and sent me back the difference owed ASAP.
LOCATION: Close to the port, the taxi booth, AND the bus station. Jackpot.
CHECK-IN: Everybody working reception was super sweet. I even snuck in a little early to see if the room was ready, and it was! On the morning of my second check-in, they let me leave my stuff behind the reception, so I didn’t have to carry it around all morning.
ACCOMMODATIONS: Both rooms were great! The first room was an inside room, and the room they moved me to for the third night had a balcony and a view of the port! I was so tickled! It was such a nice touch.
HOUSEKEEPING: Those ladies were amazing. One of them checked with me in the hall to ask if I needed anything, extra towels, etc. So thorough and thoughtful!
OASIS CAFÉ: Full disclosure – I ate breakfast here three days in a row. Food? Amazing. Servers? Darling. Frappés? Blended perfection. The sweet little kitty-cat I saw curled up against some nearby ceramic pots was just the cherry on top.
SALAIR: Swung by on a Saturday night to check out the view and have a drink. I actually think I was supposed to make a reservation (oops) but since it was just for a drink, they happily seated me anyway! It was 8 euro for a whiskey/coke which is absolutely what I would pay for a double, and between you and me, that drink was certainly a double, I realized, as I weaved my way back down to my room.
PERSONAL: Whenever I’m in Greece, locals can see that I’m not local or that I have an accent, because it’s true, I’m not local, and I do have an accent, but during my stay here, every single staff member let me use Greek and responded in Greek. Again, I’m sure it slows things down on their end, but it really meant a lot to me and was definitely something worth noting.

Read moreWe had a wonderful time at this hotel. We spent 5 nights here having two rooms as we were a couple together with elderly parents. We were truly surprised by the kindness of the owner and the staff, at the hotel and at the café below. They were always there to help us with our elderly parents who have mobility problems. Everyone was a star. The hotel is accessible, has disabled parking in front of it, and an elevator. The rooms were clean and the balconies have fantastic view. It is centrally located but there is no noise at night. Another highlight is the breakfast which consists of plates from the actual menu from the restaurant-cafe below. I cannot praise the café enough for the quality of its food. We are looking forward to returning...
