Greco Paros Traditional Greek Taverna — Restaurant in Paros Municipality

I visited that restaurant last week on account of the excellent reviews I saw online. Unfortunately, when we arrived we were given the menu which was very different from the one I had seen online. Specifically, on menu which was uploaded on the internet, the prices of the foods were way lower in comparison to the ones that I saw on the menu in the restaurant in which the dishes were quiet pricey. Moreover, when the waiter came so as to order, I asked if they could make a regular portion of souvlaki as in the menu they only had the large one. Then the insolent waiter replied that he could make it only if we uploaded an excellent review about his restaurant online. All in all, the food wasn’t worth the money that we paid and the waiter’s behavior was nothing but appalling! Definitely don’t recommend that...

Nice casual restaurant, especially nice at sunset , Chicken Gyros plate was great, but huge portion, we could of shared 1, especially as we had starters of Greek salad and some anchovy’s, would of been nice if the waiter had told us when ordering, he boxed 1 for us to takeaway, Ok so now onto the service, all good until paying the bill, i had a 5€ note in my Hand for the tip but wanted to pay the bill by card , 3 times the waiter asked me did I want to tip , these waiters need to learn not to ask for tips, it sours the evening, You ask for it you don’t get it, the 5€ note went back in my pocket, This resturant has not been the only 1 on our island hopping trip round the Cyclade islands, just...

Food poisoning.

We were on Paros for three days. On day 1, we had lunch at Greco because we thoight it was a good place (looked nice and clean, terrace by the seaside, other people dining here…). I had the Chicken Gyros, and my wife had the Pork Gyros. A few hours afterwards, she was starting to feel unwell, and what unfolded in the next few hours you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy. We’re three days after the event now, and she still cannot hold down any solid foods (essentially only drinking water and eating bananas). Worst part is: when we mentioned what happened to the hotel owner and our taxi driver, they literally said “don’t go there, bad Gyros”, so it’s known...
