Very mixed feelings on this visit. The restaurant is situated within Naousa and occupies of the largest areas, giving off the feeling of an old garden turned restaurant. It’s also nicely decorated with plenty of plants around. The service is great, everyone was very polite. The food was unfortunately mediocre despite the fact that it looks great. The octopus salad was essentially a nicely tasting octopus sitting on top of hummus that drowned out the taste. The pasta of the fisherman was missing something to make it a nice dish, it was a bland mix where the seafood taste just wasn’t there. The Leivadiani salad was a mix of greens and cheese but ended up with a bitter aftertaste when there should be a balance with the sweet elements. Revithada and, surprisingly, the vegan chylopites, ended up being the stars of the order and quite satisfactory ones at that. We went with high expectations and felt like most of the plates we got were hit and miss, can only hope that the mains are actually better ones that we weren’t lucky to order this time.

so this review is for the greek people (because we have been used to different things from tourists). We know the problem with our islands and the prices. This place has a beautiful environment and atmosphere. it’s in the center of naousa. the food was great good quality and everything. the best thing that you have to try is the feta saganaki and lemonato tis kaparis. although the portion of the second plate wasn’t big compared to the price the chicken was amazing , juicy and flavourful. As an 19 years old the only bad thing is the prices. At every age the price is a problem ,but now that i get to make my own money and spend it, i experience what everyone says. I get it , i knew that this prices will be high so i shouldn’t complain but i cant. As a greek citizen. That problem is not only in this restaurant. it’s everywhere in paros.

Kapari is a truly wonderful restaurant. The family who run it seem genuinely warm and welcoming, and interested in food and it's deep links to Cycladic culture. We've eaten most of our meals there this trip because each time we think we should try somewhere else, we're disappointed and go back. The menu offers locally sourced items and cooler foraged things you don't see on menus all the time, like rock samphire. On top of that, Andreas (the manager? the owner?) hits the nail on the head with wine recommendations each time. We've also been offered a mignardise after each meal, which is a very kind gesture. TL;DR - the food is fabulous, the service is even better. You'd be missing out if you didn't eat here whilst in Naousa.

We’ve been in Paros for a couple of days now and have had really amazing food everywhere (from cheap souvlaki places to expensive seafood restaurants). All the food experience thus far was fantastic until we came to this place. I rarely if ever give 1 stars and usually just let it go as it’s not worth it. But the experience we had was pretty horrible and very disappointing so I feel I have to post this.

To be blunt - it was by far the worst dinner (both food, and most importantly, experience) that we’ve had in Greece and I think it was pretty overpriced for what it was. The food was generally ok, but not great at all.

First, the bread was stale and tasteless. Surprising. We decided not to make a fuss and send it back. Who cares. Then, my main dish came (a lamb shank - which was OK but not great and a small portion for the price), then the appetizer came (marinated anchovies - whIch were actually really good) in a strange order. But my wife’s main (linguini with clams) hasn’t arrived. We waited for maybe 15-20 min finished my dish in the mean time. No one came up to us or even apologised. Then I looked for our waiter - and asked on status of the dish. About 5 mins later another waiter came by clarifying what dish we actually ordered.

Then finally in another maybe 10 minutes the pasta came. As a joke I asked the waiter if that was for dessert and he looked at me very confused so I said it’s like at least 30 mins late and I already finished my main while my wife looked at me... He didn’t apologise or even acknowledge that this might remotely be an issue. We thought to each other like it’s ok, whatever, we’ll just eat it. Then we tried it and it was completely overcooked (ever heard of al dente?!) and just very bland tasting (how hard is it to screw up a linguini with clams?! Have you heard of garlic or olive oil?). Then another waiter came up and asked how was the pasta because we barely touched it and we said actually it wasn’t that great plus it was late. I then explained to her that it was a half hour late and politely asked maybe she could take it off the bill. She at least made a concerned face and said ok let me check with the manager. Then she never came back.

Then one of the initial waiters came by and asked how was the pasta and I said it was fine but late and he asked if we placed the order separately (we didn’t) and said “oh that’s very bad” so at least he got the point. Anyway then I asked for the bill to the same lady who promised to check on the bill with the manager. She just brought it and completely forgot to mention anything about taking the pasta off. As if nothing happened. So I took the bill and went to the front reception to inquire about it. Then the initial waiter (funny enough the same one that took our order) asked how could he help and identified himself as the owner of the place. I explained that one of the dishes was late and also told him they I hate to say it but it also wasn’t very good so I’m wondering if you can take it off the bill. He said no because we accepted it and ate it. I said it wasn’t the point - my wife had to stare at me while I ate my dish and then I did the same while she ate hers a half hour later. To say the least not the best couple dining experience...? But he didn’t get that at all. He instead offered some shots which I politely declined. I said, look the right thing to do would be to at least to pretend to apologise and ideally take it off the bill - but he wouldn’t budge. I really didn’t want to argue. So I said ok fine I will pay for it but I will have to give you a bad review and he just shrugged his shoulders and said ok. I suppose he doesn’t really get point of hospitality! So here’s your review that...

The evening did not start off on the right foot. Thankfully I had my Rez details and confirmation on WhatsApp bc the hostess could not find it on her end. Instead of “doing the right thing” after I showed her our email exchange and apologizing for her oversight, she asked us to wait and finally showed us to a table in the hot sun or alternatively to an isolated table by the rif raf of the kitchen. Tables only acceptable to a desperate walk- in diner. And even then.., When I expressed my disappointment, she responded very snobbishly saying that it’s all she had. Please note: there were other free tables and my Rez was made several weeks ago. While the food is good, the service, especially at the onset from the hostess, needs a major overhaul. Tourists are their bread and butter and if you pull attitude right from the start, you are not worthy of my business. So, my sincere review is this: do not be rude to the customers when you need to provide service with a smile especially when the mistake is yours. We are not stupid. Rudeness will not get you anywhere. Would I recommend this resto? No. There are plenty others that will be more than happy to have you and treat you with the respect...

I went to this restaryant a few weeks back , on holidays with firends frrom NYC , UK & Greece.

there is a waiting of about 30' if you don't have a reservation . WE had a bottle of wine by the side in a demolished house which was kind of cool. The main waiter was very nice and was really selling it.

One thing that went a bit downhill was the fact that some Greek ladies came much later than we didi and the fact that they were Greek got them a table faster than us.. little did they know that some of us were Greek...

Either way - yes Locals sit faster than tourists..

the food was really good, they serve bread in a paper bag which was very cute. They were completely under staffed for all the tables they had so this is a place for patient people .

We had a few starters and different mains and they were all very good apart form one , a beef stew that was very dry. Other than that the rest of all the food was very tasty and it did worth the wait.

You have to try local cheese and local wine , the waiter is very good to guide you depending on your taste.

Overall if you are happy to wait they do server...
