This was the worst restaurant I ate at in Greece. The dishes were expensive and the portions were extremely small. For the price, I expected a much larger main course. Furthermore, the food was not good: the stuffed squid and the octopus were rubbery. The last one in particular was ridiculous and should have been sold as an appetizer. Aside from the problem with the dishes, we were also seated at a table far away, against the wall, and the minute I arrived I could smell cat poop. And what's worse, in less than five minutes a cockroach appeared and climbed the wall, almost getting into the plate of the woman at the next table. Luckily for the place, the woman simply pushed the cockroach away with a paper napkin and didn't cause any fuss. Of course, the restaurant is in a port area and sometimes insects can appear, but in any case, this situation only contributed to the terrible experience. Finally, we had problems paying the bill; the employee had to go back and forth several times with a different card machine because there was no signal. In short: there are countless restaurants with a lower...

Statheros Restaurant in Paros is absolutely amazing! It's located in the charming town of Naoussa, right by the water, and surprisingly quiet despite being in the heart of the area.

When we visited, we dined without a reservation and had to wait a while, but it was definitely worth it! It doesn’t get more classically authentic Greek than this beautiful setting in a quaint seaside town.

The food was incredibly delicious and traditional. The tarama, cabbage rolls, and aubergine dishes were the best I've ever had!!! And I wish we tried more dishes but we were just too full!

Overall, it was the best meal we enjoyed on the island!! and the dining experience was just fantastic! Next time though, I’ll be sure to make a reservation! ;-) Thank you,...

📝 Overall kind of ok although we had a reservation at 21:15 and were seated only at 21:50. We received a couple of complimentary glasses of wine while waiting... but I'd like to ask management how this can happen: either they need to re-think a reservation system that doesn't work, or they don't care to comply with reservations, to which I'd recommend scratching them entirely and adopting a first-come, first-serve approach open to anyone.

🍴 Food was good, no doubt (but nothing out of this world). We had a couple of traditional appetizers and a couple of mains that were pretty good.

ordered the shrimp orzo and catch of the day. shrimp orzo was good but nothing spectacular, a tad bit overpriced. catch of the day was fresh but slightly overcooked. nice atmosphere by the waters with a nice view of the sunset but we were not very satisfied with the service. made a reservation at 9pm, we were told to wait 5min once we arrived but it seems as though they totally forgot about our existence. one of the server (i think he was the manager/foh) was only concerned with entertaining other parties who had reservations later than us. not sure if he was being racist, but it appeared as though only the white customers were taken care of. might be a coincidence but who knows. however some of the staff were still really nice and attentive.

Statheros is my favorite restaurant on Paros. It’s owned, operated, and employs locals (this is important as it keeps money going to the island and the people there). Giannis the owner is a gracious host, his menu is a nice twist on Greek favorites as well as local Parian cuisine. The head server Sarantos is a warm guy that is very attentive and genuinely friendly towards his guests. They are knowledgeable about their menu and their island, they take great pride in what they do. In fact, Sarantos’ father is a fisherman that provides the restaurant with daily fresh local catches. You will dine (if it’s not windy) on the sand, your table will be meters away from the Aegean Sea. Definitely give this unique local gem a try!
