The worst service and attitude I've had in a restaurant in Greece! And I've been to places. We were 4 people, and ordered 2 main dishes (grilled octopus and grilled prawns). The other things from the order came (2x french fries, 1 water, 1 glass of wine. 40 min passed. We asked for the main dishes and ordered one yogurt with honey. The yogurt came, the main dishes finally came after a total wait of 50 minutes. They were obviously forgotten. The grilled octopus was cold, very cold. Additionally it was way too grilled, closed to burned. The prawns were like heated again in a microwave.
We asked for the check and when it came we noticed that one of the things was billed twice in it. It was "deserts", which is the yogurt. Except it was billed twice, in the menu the price was lower than the one on the check. We asked the waiter and got a response "bro, I'm only a server". Then the woman who took most of our order came, telling us she knows what we ordered as she took our order. Yes, but the waiter took our yogurt order. Anyway, finally she said "count it minus the price for the yogurt". We didn't even bring the price difference in the menu and on the bill. We substracted the price we saw on the bill from the total price. Then we gave her 50 euros and she said "give me another one, this looks suspicious". I asked her if she has a scanner for banknotes. She said "yes", not moving, staring at me. I asked her to check the banknote then. She didn't. We gave her another 50 euros banknote and she didn't even give us the whole change. We asked for the rest of the change because the food, the attitude and the waiting time were way too bad to leave a tip. She laughed at us, started counting and nudging the coins on our table.
This is nothing like Greece. This is outrageous. This for sure is not a family business and the only positive thing is that they work in a good location, next to the parked boats and the main customers are the people from the boats.
AVOID this place.
P.S. even the french...
Read moreWorst restaurant experience ever!
We had already eaten at this restaurant and chose it again because of the number of vegetarian options available - this turned out to be a terrible choice!! Sat down around 8 pm - drinks were served quickly, but it took an hour for food order to be taken. Some 20 minutes after ordering, we were advised that three of our five choices were not available. No problem - we reordered immediately without any complaint.
Just before 10pm we politely queried where our food was as it was now almost two hours since we had arrived. The manager immediately became rude and aggressive and insisted that we had not been there for two hours, despite us having evidence on our phones. She went as far as to accuse us of lying to her. When the food finally arrived, one of the dishes was cool to the touch. It had clearly been microwaved.
Once again, we politely pointed this out to her. Off she went again!! - accusing us of lying, telling us that we were ‘awful people’, personally insulting us, threatening to call the police, accusing us of being disrespectful and spoiling her day!! The reality, of course, was the exact opposite. She totally ruined our last night on this lovely Island.
We should have walked away at this point but because we are NOT awful people, we duly paid up and then left.
We are all fairly seasoned travellers and none of us has ever been treated this badly before.
Interestingly, there are numerous similar reviews for this establishment on Trip Advisor.
Be warned - walk past this one and choose one of the many other nearby establishments - one that treats its diners with courtesy...
Read moreWe are leaving the restaurant due to absolutely terrible service. The waiter tried to convince us that starters are served with the main course, claiming it's a Greek tradition to enhance flavors. When I disagreed, he became rude and argumentative instead of simply apologising for the poor service.
After speaking in hushed tones, clearly trying to provoke young women in their 20s, he ended our experience by calling me “crazy, rude, ugly, ignorant, and arrogant” after we settled our bill in full, leaving over half of our meal untouched. That's truly top-tier service. I don’t care if it’s the end of the season; most places in the world work hard year-round and maintain good service. This entire situation could have been easily avoided if he had just apologised. Absolutehorrible man! I hope this business fails so a more deserving restaurant can take its place. Additionally, the calamari was clearly frozen.
I'd suggest the waiter, who thinks he is the owner (he is clearly not) finds a new career, being in his 50s and still so bad at this line of work is clearly not his forte. To continue to antagonise a situation with my friend making insults to me to her whilst she is trying to settle the bill, is another level of unprofessionalism that I've never seen in my life.
We've been eating out twice a day every day whilst here on our visit, and eat out regularly in London. As well having both previously worked in hospitality, you picked the wrong “girls” to start your...
