I was hesitant to leave a negative review but felt compelled to warn others off what may have been the worst dish I’ve ever experienced... firstly, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, so I do not fault them for the dining experience itself... but my girlfriend ordered the cod with garlic mashed potatoes (was told it was the last portion so perhaps it had been sitting there stewing in garlic throughout the day) but the potatoes were so atrocious that we joked that it was like garlic’d garlic roasted in garlic oil with essence of mashed garlic potatoes.... we couldn’t stomach more than a couple bites before we felt we were now immunized from all vampire attacks from now until eternity. And we both love garlic dishes... so I cannot chalk it up to that. On the other (not garlic) hand... I ordered a chicken dish that was small pieces of chicken cooked in a very tasty vinegar and honey concoction that was a very nice sauce (but overcooked chicken). Read moreReally incredible place we found for lunch after visiting the caves. The owner was patient with his recommendations and absolutely did not miss. We got the special salad of the day - made like the other "wild greens" that seems typical of restaurants in the area. I have no idea what the green was, he said there wasn't a good translation but it grows by the sea in Kefalonia, but I will be thinking about it for a long time. It was kind of frondy and very tender, and there was a perfect refreshing amount of olive oil and lemon. We also had some cheese (the local one with ginger) that was decent, and some smoked eggplant spread. The spicy sheep sausage was incredible, as was the fried pork with pepper. They also had some white Robola wine to drink with it all. At first I was disappointed that they were out of the fresh fish catch of the day but ultimately I'm so glad we ordered what we did - one of our best meals...

Vasilis our waiter was so friendly and kindly talked us through the great daily specials and had us trying local beer and spirits! The food was outstanding. The chefs clearly take serious pride in their dishes. The Myrsni salad with pistachio, beetroot and Manouri was incredible. The kebab, courgette balls and homemade chips were also amazing. Highly recommend you eat here. The setting is great on the harbour front with swallows flying all around. Thanks for a great meal and for giving us tips on where...
