Atmosphere and setting was the best bit. The short haired waitress outside was incredibly attentive and smiley.

What let this place down was the severe lack of accountability from the manager. Served an item of food that was almost inedible. Half of it got fed to the stray dog! When we complained about the poor quality of the item (a member of our party owns a number of food establishments and another works as a restaurant manager) we were belittled and made to feel like it was our fault. The poor waiter serving us had to come over 3 times as the manager appeared to be hiding behind him, more than happy to let him take the flak.

Really poor end to what would have been a great evening. Majority of the food was good/above average but the low rating is due to what can only be described as a pathetic attempt at customer service. Being told we were ‘categorically wrong’ because the food was not as described and implying that we’d make something like that up was incredible infuriating.

Stay for drinks due to the setting but...

So disappointed!!! Had the goats cheese with fig jam and that was ok. Well done for warming up the cheese and adding some jam to the plate. I also had the zucchini chips, normally a juicy delicacy, soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside, but they had been left in the deep fryer for too long and were burnt and rock hard. I asked the waiter if that really was how they were intended to be, and he agreed they looked a bit dry and walked off with the plate. 10 minutes later he is near my table and I then just ask for the bill. I ask him again what the chef said about them. Were they as he intended them to be, and he replied that the chef also thought they were a bit overcooked. No tip left and never coming back. So much for all the great reviews...

Elevated food traditional food. The fish quality is one of the highest we tried on the island. The atmosphere is unbearable, we kept going back. It's probably the only place on the island which delivers the full package of superb accommodation, service, restaurant, fine dining dinner experience and beach bar. The way they transform the sun beds beach area into a super cool cocktail beach bar with seats near the sea waves is fenimenal. It's a top 3 on the island to experience, both during the day, to stay in, and to dine. Signature cocktails are great.
