Just back from spending 2 fantastic weeks at the Hotel Megali Ammos House. Nicley decorated and well equipped room with good sized bed, kitchenette, fridge, air conditioning and safety deposit box all included in the room price. Well worth having the breakfast option to set you up for the day with stunning views from the restaurant balcony. The hotel steps lead onto a lovely sandy shallow section of the beach complete with its own sunbeds and crystal clear water. 5 mins walk to the nearest 2€ 'go anywhere' bus stop which travels regulary up and down the south coast beaches....though it does get very, very full! 10 mins walk and you are in Skiathos town with its many shops & restaurants. Helpfull staff and well worth visiting the restaurant. We...

Kettle, two ring hot plate, crockery and fridge but staff would not give us milk for tea so had to walk a kilometre to only open supermarket. Room narrow with mezzanine bed and a black metal staircase which was dangerous at night as toilet downstairs. TV remote didn't work? No blankets so had to keep aircon on warm all night? Staff noisy after restaurant closed. Food in restaurant pretentious, unappetising and expensive. Staff friendly and sea view nice. A good place for young people to stay in season but not for senior...

Room The room had a lovely view and was really nicely designed, and the cabinet kitchenette was perfect - I managed to cook a full meal in thattiny space with nonissues. The mattress was soft, plump and cozy, as were the pillows.
Service The staff was all extremely friendly and welcoming, and the service was lovely. The attached restaurant has some great meals and the breakfast option is fantastic.
Location Close enough to the old harbour to walk there, far enough away to avoid the noise. The little strip of beach is very nicely maintained and a quiet, cozy place to swim.
I definitely want to return, hopefully in a...
