Twilight — Restaurant in Skiathos Municipality

This place needs some new management; service was poor, the waiter didn't even ask what we wanted to drink when he got our order. They never checked on us during the meal and when it came to pay it took 10 good minutes after we got the bill before someone decided to show up with a card reader (had to ask them twice). We had a very simple order of grilled halloumi, stuffed pepper and a Greek salad. Somehow they managed to get it wrong. Halloumi was smothered in an unpleasant balsamic reduction, completely masking the taste of the cheese. The pepper was OK, but could have been seasoned better. Greek salad was appalling. It was fridge cold and not seasoned. Not a drop of oil or a grain of salt. Just chopped veggies that had been kept in a bowl in the fridge (the bowl was fridge cold as well). The onion had not been soaked in water, so it was excessively strong. Also, for some strange reason, there was lettuce in the Greek salad. With the bill we were brought a small piece of cake which might have been OK if it hadn't been covered in an overly sweet chocolate sauce (the cheap type you find in squeeze bottles). This restaurant will always be close to my heart. After our fourth visit to Skiathos we have become such lovely friends with one of the waiters who we stay in contact with throughout the year.

The staff are lovely and the food is traditional Greek cooking. Without a doubt a must visit when ever we come to the island.

The restaurant is based just off the beach with a lovely sea view where you can watch the sky change from a lovely Mediterranean clear blue, to a star and boat light lit sky line.

Generous portions and beautifully cooked fish. Good value for money in that you don’t need to order any sides as the plates are full. Plus they gave us a little complimentary pudding.
