Palataki Restaurant — Restaurant in Thassos Municipality

So, we ordered 2 pasta dishes, Carbonara and Bolognese, and garlic bread. Portion was quite big and we didn't finish it, in addition to the big size we ere disappointed by the taste of carbonara. Waiter (possibly the owner too) asked how our meal was. My response:" Do you want an honest opinion?". He said:"Sure". Well carbonara is very flavorless. He didn't make a fuss out of it, he was very polite and respectful. He explained that Greeks make carbonara as a mild pasta dish ( i am personally used to Italian version) and that is why It might feel that way. He apologized, brought Delicious dessert and talked to us about Greek cuisine, there was no anger, no defensive attitude, nothing. Best experience yet on Thassos regarding complaint/reaction relation. Honestly i will there again if nothing only for his actions.

P.S. From what I saw, owner reads these reviews, my only real concern is your menu. There are too many colors, it is a bit confusing. All of the dishes are just labeled and priced, no further information regarding the meal. Make your menu as it is in the front case on the street and you will be...

We had a very good time until the end or our meal. We arrived at 20:00, before the restaurant was full. Our waitress was attentive, patient and answered our questions and recommendations. The portions were large, tasty (except the napolitana pasta that was lacking in flavor) and we had a very enjoyable evening. To be noted that not all the main courses are brought simultaneously. Unfortunately service at the end of the meal ruined our evening. From the time the tab was put at the end of our table no one came over. We asked to pay by credit card. They claimed the system was not working. We asked to check again if it was possible, no one got back to us. We waited for almost 10 minutes. I ended up emptying out my cash to pay the bill just so we could leave. We were told prior to our meal that as is customary in Greek restaurants they give small on the house dessert to end on a sweet note. None was given. Unfortunately we left with a very sour note. Service is until the moment the customer leaves...

Food trap! The seafood platter was cold and rubbery, the zucchini over salty, and the fish roe salad was tasteless and smellless. For me, this was one of the worst foods I ever eaten. Of course, there were other problems such as: dirty wine glasses, they chilled the wine much too late, their pos didn't work, but I consider that the ones specified above exceeded any measure

the first attempt to pay with the phone failed, the second time we used a physical card and the waiter said that it still didn't work and ran away from us without giving us the receipt for the failed transaction. the strange thing is that on my phone the transaction seems to have been accepted by its appearance in the notification system, the third time it still didn't work and we were basically forced to pay in cash and he didn't give us a receipt for the payment...
