Cielo Beach Bar — Restaurant in Thassos Municipality

Strong points: The service is very good. Their team works very good and efficient. Cristi is a hard worker, always with a smile and willing to help the customers. It was another guy who brought the drinks (unfortunately I don't know his name, he has short blonde hair), he tried his best. The girls from the terrace very nice and prompt with the service. The beach is clean, the chairs and the decks well maintained.

Weak points: The food is not good (personally I was sick after I ate a dish with chicken). Please stay away from the so called cooking. Better focus on drinks, there are enough taverna around you. The lemon fresh, sorry to say but had nothing to do with fresh lemons. No sugar / honey added, not one mint leaf .....just a lemon juice that is used for cooking. Please search on internet for a decent recipe of homemade lemonade. Your reservation system is quite strange. For some people it was possible to make a reservation and for others not. You should have a note next to your menu with the conditions for occupying the first, second and third rows. In this way you could avoid unnecessary explanations and your employees would not be in a delicate situation. The managers should change their atitude, they don't look very friendly in front of their customers but also with their employees (could be that I am wrong, but this is the feeling that I had when I saw them).

It's a great beach. The prices are a bit steep, but it's normal for a beach bar, you can't expect a 5 euro gyro and a sunbed spot. Anyways, the service is pretty good, their English is okay, they won't understand you sometimes but it's fine, it's good enough for you to tell them what you need. The reason its 4 stars and not 5 is something which i don't think it's their factor, but there's a LOT of wasps. They aren't aggressive but they swarm your food and make it really hard to eat while you are at your sunbeds with your friends and family. it's a big problem. I don't think they do anything about it, so if you order something in a plate or bowl, you will be attacked by more than 5 wasps at once, and they won't leave you alone. Otherwise the food is pretty solid, don't order the chicken tortilla though, its pretty bad.. I'd recommend gyro and a club sandwich, they're huge and pretty tasty. The drinks are ridiculously expensive though..

TLDR: it's probably the best you will find in the area i guess.. its much better to pay 40 euros in consumation than 20 for nothing, is it? If you have an insect allergy,...

Cielo Beach Bar is truly an amazing facility. The wooden walkways are a great touch, making it easy and comfortable to move around the beach area. The sunbeds are excellent – wide, sturdy, and offering plenty of comfort for a full day by the sea.

One of the best parts is the constant sea breeze, which takes away the heat and gives you real comfort even on hot summer days. The sea is beautiful, the beach is stunning, and the sand is bright white – a truly picturesque spot.

A set of two sunbeds with an umbrella costs €40, which is fairly reasonable – in fact, compared to places like Scala Beach or other similar beach bars, the prices here are more affordable.

However, there were so many wasps that it was almost impossible to sit and relax. They were constantly disturbing us, and one of us even got stung. Because of this, we had to leave earlier than planned.

Overall, the place is very well-maintained, offers great comfort, and has better prices than many other popular spots – but the wasp issue is something to be aware of...
