Wonderful place. You feel so excited while setting on the table. The weather is much cooler than on other places. We have ordered black tea and it was delicious. I recommend to have a time to spend in this unique place. People owning this place are so kind. They open until beyond midnight which is good for people who want to be under the shade of big trees.

Wir waren im Kantina Kalamaki Lagana zu zweit Essen**Die Kantina befindet sich auf einer Hauptstrasse zwischen Laganas und Kalamaki. Das Ambiente ist etwas besonderes. Man sitzt auf Heuballen (eine Art Bank) und der Tisch ist ebenfalls ein umfunktionierter Heuballen**Die Bestellung wird aufgegeben und wenn das Essen fertig ist, kann man es sich abholen kommen (Self-Service)**Die Qualität des Essens ist wirklich sehr gut und das zu unschlagbar günstigen Preisen. Der Wein hat uns nicht so gut geschmeckt (weder der Weisswein noch der Rosé), der Preis des Weins war aber auch hier sehr günstig. Gereicht wird der Wein in einer 0,5l Plastikflasche (umfunktionierte Wasserflasche)**Wen dies alles nicht stört, der sollte definitiv dort essen gehen, da das Essen hervorragend schmeckt... und das alles zu günstigen Preisen!!**Die Preise sind wirklich unschlagbar**Kartenzahlung war hier auch möglich!**

I would have never thought that the best pork skewers on the island can be found in a random place in the middle of nowhere. Yet this cantina is awesome, they served us really quick and the food tasted great, would definitely come back! One star less because the fried potatoes can be improved.

Good Food-Horrible Staff

The food is good but not always fresh. For example, if you pay close attention to the cook, the pork souvlaki is not freshly made. They have cooked it beforehand and they just warm it up. However, this is not the case when it comes to the sausage which is actually freshly made. We also tried their chips which were good and the Tzatziki and Tirokafteri dips which were also tasty.

What we did not like was the attitude of the owners. They are so disrespectful towards their customers. It seems that they are there only to take the money and nothing else. They are rude and if you complain for something they will just ignore it.

Someone would possibly argue why I am saying that and I will tell you straight away. I went for dinner with my family and the seating area was full therefore we decided to wait till something would become available. We waited patiently for a good 10-15’ minutes somewhere where we wouldn’t obstruct the staff. We informed the owners that we were waiting for a table and they agreed. As soon as a table became free, another group of people that they just arrived-more than us in number-they sat at the table and the owners that they knew that we were waiting for that table did nothing. When we told them about that one of the owners started shouting at us. This was really disrespectful and we will not...

It is a perfect village experience. Very unique and interesting. I've never found something like this before. It looks like a street canteen, where you can buy souvlaki, but it's more than that. You sit on places and tables made of hay, and the manager just lights you with a green light when your food is ready to go and pick it up. Great atmosphere. Friendly,...
