We recently stayed in June for 10 days and had a fantastic time visiting the island. The hotel was lovely, and good value for money. It was not too busy but still had a nice atmosphere with guests from all age ranges, and we made friends with some other couples staying. The hotel is clean and tidy, has a lovely Mediterranean feel, and the staff where friendly and helpful. On arrival, our flight was delayed by 10 hours, but staff had stick around to greet us and had prepared us some food to have in our room which was so lovely as we were extremely hungry!
The location felt great, it was tucked just off of the kalamaki main strip, but was close enough to easily walk to the bars, shops and excursion counters, whilst being a very short walk from kalmaki beach also.
The food was good. The buffet rotated nicely every day, and it was enjoyable. We particularly liked the snack menu club sandwiches through the day. The drinks were fairly standard for all inclusive.
The staff were brilliant. They work tiringly long shifts day in and day out yet still remain polite. Some were less chatty or smiley than others, but still gave great service and remained polite throughout, which is all you can ask for really! The reception staff were particularly lovely, especially the night guard Xristos, who was such a genuinely lovely person. We enjoyed returning from evenings out and spending time speaking to him. He was extremely helpful throughout our stay, and we were in awe of his patience with some of the more unruly guests! He is a real asset to the team.
The room was a good size, it had a good amount of space and storage, a nice bathroom, and a nice seating area on the balcony. Xristos advised it had a great view of the sunrise, so me and my partner set an early alarm to watch it come up over the hills one morning, and it was indeed lovely! The air-con worked well for our entire stay too.
The pool was a nice sized deck-level pool, with nice wooden aesthetics, and some lovely furniture surrounding. It was open every day and the eater quality was good for the majority of the stay, bar one day were the clarity was a little low, but I have experience working with pools and understand that this can happen during busier usage so we did not mind.
Lastly we loved all of the wildlife we saw during our time at Bitzaro Palace. From birds around the pool, to preying mantis' perched on plants and geckos bathing on the walls.
Thank you to all the staff at Bitzaro for such a lovely holiday. We hope to see...
Read moreHotel is lovely, very modern and well kept. They had musicians on 3 evenings of the week and a photographer we saw once in the evening (the Sunday singer in particular was amazing!) ||We were worried about the sunbed situation before coming but had no problem at all. If you want a lounger by the pool, yes they go quick, but I think this is a given at a lot of hotels. We came down around 10 each day and always got a sunbed near the back bit. Round the pool would get extremely slippery so that’s something to bear in mind but we never slipped thankfully! There’s a main pool, hot tub, and small pool for young children. ||I’m coeliac and vegetarian and always found a decent amount of food to eat at meal times. The chefs at each time of day would recognise me and come up to me to tell me what I could and couldn’t have. I could request gluten free bread at breakfast, and on a dinner time where there wasn’t too many options for me the lovely chef made me a whole orzo! I think people who aren’t veggie but are coeliac, you’d have no problem at all - I am a slightly special case so often the veggie options would have gluten in or the gluten free options would have meat. There’s plenty of salad, had a stuffed pepper, often some sort of bean in the salad area, omelettes, potato salad, rice and different kinds of veg. ||I’d maybe recommend to add the specific allergens and what could be made veggie and/or gluten free to the cards which are displayed that show what each thing is (e.g. paella that was made gf for me and saw someone that got a plain jacket potato due to being dairy free). Think this would save the chefs a lot of time too as there would be a few people they’d have to show what they could/couldn’t eat. ||My partner who can eat anything really loved the food and said the meat was good quality. It’s a small buffet but much higher quality than all inclusives we’ve been to before. There was also a lot of options from the snack bar but we personally didn’t have anything as the meal times filled us up. ||The hotel is in a fab location in between the beach and the main strip. We went to Ambrosia one night which we’d deffo recommend!||Overall a brilliant week, lovely staff, and we were...
Read moreOur experience or anyone looking for a good honest and fair review of this hotel, I would say yes to returning here. For me and my girlfriend it was just what we were looking for a nice happy medium place not too loud and not too quiet in terms of location. The hotel where it is situated is very peaceful, yet you can take a 10 minute stroll to the hustle of the busy strip where it comes to life. Alot of the restaurants fighting for your money trying to pull you in can be a bit much for some, back to the hotel restaurant, the food was OK to be fair a reasonable selection on offer possibly could be more being hyper critical but was OK. The drinks selection again for an all inclusive was OK, beer was certainly no Mythos but tasted alright. Staff tried to make sure the rooms were best kept clean and seem really hard at work although I still feel they could put themselves out there just that but extra service for me that was missing, one barman in particular not sure if he wanted to be there just seemed a little offish or distant. Cleanliness in our room was good when it was maintained by the staff, although we had a issue with ants coming through the cracks of the tiles in the bathroom area. The pool is lovely, just some maintenance needed to fix parts of the decking. Alot of stairs in the hotel if you are caring for someone or like to get around a little easier not the best no lifts, but the grounds are lovely. Back to the room I saw someone mention that there were no milk or water provided which was slightly disappointing, one for the hotel to look at for future guests maybe a welcome 12 pack in the fridge on arrival. Roads around the area are crazy so take care walking around. Overall had a lovely stay and as mentioned above we would return made some lovely friends and saw some beautiful sites. If you're looking to book here then give it a try you shouldn't be disappointed it is a...
