Olympic Flame — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

The evening meals didn't match up to the dishes we ordered. A Roughfort Salad from the menu had no roughfort cheese whatsoever! Clearly, if a restaurant has no roughfort in stock (plenty available at Lidl) the obvious thing to do is report back to the customer saying we cannot offer you this meal. That way, there is no disappointment and customer admires honesty. There was melted cheese, however, it wasn't worth the price paid as salad content was small and un-interesting. My meal was described as Chinese Chicken with Ginger and Blackbean source. I'm sorry to report that there was no ginger to speak of and as such it was missing - again, not as described. A chinese meal might also have spring-onions and perhaps water chesnuts too. What I got was a plate full of a uniform sized chicked pieces of a rubbery texture with rice and blackbean source. Okay for fill-up but not the cuisine I was expecting. Friendly staff and free-gratis ouzo sampler at the end. No fuss was made about the food as they can be relied upon to offer a good breakfast, but not necessarily an evening meal. Would not want a repeat experience for an evening...

Myself and my partner and our friend and her husband tried here as there was deal on, your could order anything on the menu ( including all steaks) and two free drinks so we thought happy days! Our free drinks us three girls ordered 2x pina coladas each ... They weren't nice at all so we left them on the table and the owner/manager noticed this came over and asked what was wrong we said there's no alcohol in them and they are not very nice, he instantly got a waiter to take them away and to get us 2 free drinks each again free no charge and he couldn't have been nicer it was a lovely touch! We ate our meals which was delicious and we were finishing our drinks when 4 free desserts landed at our table from the owner, this gesture blew us away he was again apologising for the cocktails we didn't like and this was another way of showing us how good of an owner he is ! This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. • I found a worm in my gyros, which is beyond disgusting and inexcusable. • To make matters worse, there was a hair strand in the souvlaki. • Drinks were served in warm glasses, which only added to the overall lack of hygiene and care. • We waited over an hour for our food, with no updates or apologies. • When we asked about the delay, the staff were shockingly rude and dismissive.

I rarely leave reviews, but this place absolutely deserves a warning to others. Avoid at all costs — both your time and your stomach...
