AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! VERY POOR SERVICE!! Our starters took over an hour to arrive, our mains arrived halfway through eating our starters and our bottle of wine never even turned up. When making the manager aware she had the audacity to argue with us and consulted the chef to ask if the order was late. They even commended themselves for not charging for the wine that never arrived! Really!? I must assure you that this was our ONLY bad experience of our holiday! If staying at the Belvedere, don’t fall for the hotel receptionist’s recommendation to book the Greek night at Villa Rossa. Walk five minutes up the road to Taverna Galini. Superior authentic Greek cuisine, half the price of what you would pay at Villa Rossa and with much more generous portions. A very disappointing evening. After being recommended to book the ‘Greek Night’ by staff on reception at the Belvedere Hotel, my partner & I had high hopes for a lovely evening. Unfortunately, the service was incredibly slow and our table seemed forgotten about. When I spoke with the manager about my concerns, I was left feeling disbelieved and somewhat dismissed. I would not recommend dining at this restaurant....however, I would urge you to enjoy local Greek tavernas nearby (Da Camillo & Babis have been some of our favourites!). Calm and pretty place for drinks and dinner. The cocktails are great and the food was very well prepared. Nice to see something different on your plate instead of just a lump of meat with wet fries.
