We were on vacation in St Peter Port for a week, so great to find out that the best pub on the island was 3 minutes away from our hotel!We were given a warm welcome from the charming temporary manager Trish and talked through thee food and drink options. Her friendly and helpful service was much appreciated by us and the local regulars who she has great rapport with. Indeed, all the staff who served us over the week were great! As was the food and beers. It was nice to see a crowd enjoying a craft gin tasteing! We visited several other pubs in the area, including the Gold Lion and Slaughterhouse, who also gave good friendly service, but this place really did become our "local" and was head and shoulders above the rest. They have a happy hour and it was an unexpected suprise to have free appetizers arrive on the bar when we popped in for an early cheeky one.
