I had a really enjoyable Saturday evening meal here and would love to return. It’s half bar, half restaurant, but throughout there’s a great atmosphere with really nice modern decor and great staff. Despite being a lone diner I wasn’t made to feel rushed and the different members of staff made me feel really welcome.

There’s only a couple of choices of wine / red wine available by the glass but the service time was always quick which was great. There’s a decent range of food on the menu which the staff seemed knowledgeable about, although unfortunately my first choice of monkfish wasn’t available. Instead I opted for the sharing platter, which they also offer in a portion size for one - don’t be fooled though, it is still very large!

Despite it being a slab of various meats the presentation was surprisingly good and the flavours equally as impressive. An additional option of vegetable or similar wouldn’t have gone amiss, perhaps two corn cobs instead of the one, but otherwise it was great. No room for desert afterwards!

There’s a decent amount of seating outside in a courtyard too so it’s a restaurant for all occasions and, considering the level of service and atmosphere, I felt the prices were reasonable. I’ll certainly be returning next time I’m...

Oh boy, where do I even begin? Let me spare you the agony and share my enlightening experience at this restaurant. Now, I'm no burger aficionado, but what I encountered here could be considered a crime against gastronomy...

I must recommend the service, which was great. However, when it came to the burgers, it was as if they were on a mission to obliterate any notion of culinary excellence. Picture this: overcooked meat patty resembling a hockey puck, as dry as the Sahara desert. No cheese to be found, as if it had eloped with a more worthy sandwich. And to top it all off, a complete absence of any sauce that could potentially salvage the unfortunate situation.

Despite the catastrophic burgers, I must admit that the appetizer was a shining beacon of hope, and the restaurant's ambiance and decor were quite impressive.

So, my dear burger enthusiasts, I implore you to steer clear of this establishment's burger offerings. Life is too short to waste on such catastrophic...

We were in a great mood and very ready to forgive the first impressions from the bar staff. One of the team completely blanked us when we asked if we could get a table, and one of the other guys scoffed and reluctantly led us to a table in a dramatic huff after we had the audacity to ask to be seated for lunch. It was just sheer inexcusable ATTITUDE.

But no matter;

We ordered a burger each, one beef, one chicken. The chicken burger itself was actually rather nice, but the bun was DRY and my friends beef burger was dry through and through. Despite a pot of mayo each, we couldn't make either particularly palatable.

My side salad was also 70% onion which was a touch unpleasant but to their credit the chips and poutine were lovely. The waitress that looked after us was very pleasant and attentive.

Unfortunately folks come for food and the food was just not very...

What a fabulous place. Plenty of outdoor seating including a small terrace up some stairs which overlooks Havelet Bay? Great decor, plenty of seating in outdoor bar area,good selection of beers and friendly service. The interior took my breath away, an upper tier in a horseshoe shape with tables for diining. The open plan of the floor and roof space with fabulous trusses and beams . Still in place is the rail and hooks where the animals were hung up. Food was great, roast beef cooked as I like it, with all the trimmings for me, friends daughter had a chickpea burger which she devoured, and Scrote had Moules in a rich Guernsey cream sauce. Great service, and a nice atmosphere made better by the smells coming from the kitchen. Advisable to book as I can imagine it is a place that's gets hammered .
