CHEFAN — Restaurant in St Peter Port

Considering your only other options in Guernsey are overpriced restaurant burgers or takeaway, this is your best place to get a decent burger on the island.

I was full and satisfied after finishing, but a couple little changes could make these even better. Firstly, you gotta toast those buns! The difference it makes is night and day and wouldn’t add much time to the cooking. Secondly, and this might just be subjective, I would love to have a little bit more sauce to bring it all together.

Otherwise thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely be back when I’m next...

Best comparison I can think of for this is Five Guys. The burgers are delicious and very customisable, with a choice of buns, doubling your cheese or bacon, a nice big variety of sauces, and a fair few salad options. Came with a generous portion of really nice crispy fries (free with a burger on an offer). The seating area is fairly limited, but most people come to take away, and whenever Chefan is out and about at big events it usually has the biggest queue of all the food stalls due to it's popularity, quite possibly the best burgers...

Lovely food from one of the busiest lunchtime spots in town. Lots of options for your own preferred burger.

The staff were helpful and were wearing gloves for food prep. The chef also washed his hands several times during my visit when handling raw meat.

Despite the limited menu the good quality ingredients and varied options for the food offered make for a tasty and popular meal.
