Decided on the sour of the moment to visit the Terrace one evening in May. I hadn’t had good experiences before but I was persuaded that things had changed! Absolutely they had! We had a lovely meal in really nice surroundings.

They specialise in Thai/Asian food but certainly there is something for everyone on the menu. Good children’s menu too.

Very convivial atmosphere- all sorts of people there and lots of families which was nice. You order your food and receive a buzzer which sounds when the food is ready. The attendants are extremely efficient and ready to help.

I had chicken Penang, flat bread and coconut rice. My daughter has stir fry tofu, veggie gyoza thingeys and rice too.

My dish was super hot! The rice and bread delicious.

Very generous portions - frankly one rice would have easily done us nothing- but because everything is super casual you could just add more food to your table if you wanted to.

I really like The Terrace. They do lots of very good Asian cuisine, mostly Thai. My favourites are the noodle soups. They also do some typical English fast food like nuggets and chips or burgers which the kids seem to like, I go for the more authentic food myself. 4 stars because you seem to get a lot more food for the same price if you sit in rather than takeaway which is fine if you're sitting in but I feel like if the price is the same you should really get the same amount of food. The food doesn't take long to come as long as it's not too busy and is freshly cooked, the kitchen is kind of open so you can see it. Just beware of the wasps (yellow jackets) in the summer although that can happen wherever you eat Al fresco. Now opens through most of the year when it used to only be summer. For the colder evenings they have patio heaters outside and even provide blankets! There is also an area to sit inside...
