Mario's Place — Restaurant in Bay Islands

I wish I had taken photos of all of meals. Others had the lobster burger, which I had before and I highly recommend you order. The lobster is fresh of the day, which makes sense as we're fight beside one dock for the fishing boats. You can hear the chef cracking the lobster shell and five chipping the lobster. The photos shown were of my fish, and a friend who had the same. Fresh camarone, piscado, conxh and lobster. It was served on two big platters to hold all the food. I was so full after, eating out. The warm shallow waters invited large fish who lazily swam around the dock. It's a nice feature for anyone to watch while waiting for dinner. The service is friendly and available when you need something.

The only negatives are the platanos as it was not fried as soft as the traditional way, and the seafood was fried to heavily in oil and garlic. At times it was a bit hard to discern flavours between all the seafood because of the heavy use of oil and garlic. If the chef can lighten the oil and emphasize the natural sweetness of the fresh seafood, that dish...

Hey, you might just get lucky and be served by Mario himself. Awesome service, very attentive and friendly staff.

Every dish was great! Liked the fish burrito but the lobster takes the price. The fried fish was perfection, definitely quality fry. The whole exterior of the fish was editable, even the tail and head. It comes with it's typical sides. Highly recommend for first time visitors.

You can just go into the party into the bar at the end of the place. Good drinks and sensible prices.

The lovely ladies working here were such gems. I came during a quiet time and got to sit by the dock, I could see that at night time it could be good for lively entertainment. It was nice to relax and watch the boats go by. I ordered the lobster salad and it was refreshing. I appreciated that they also take credit card but the terminal was down that day. It was good to know for larger orders as there were a few items on the menu that I wanted to try e.g. fried...
