I am sorry to write such review, but this was the worst experience I had with such restaurant in my life (39 years, visited USA/several cities in Europe, like it so much....) and I had a plenty of them .... I made photo of just my plate (what was it?). How someone can eat so many of dry chilly (I've sked to make it hot, but this was just a normal paprica, not hot at all)? My wife had kung pao (no vegetables, poor is a "lite" word), oil everywhere, the fryer we heard to the inside, the "chef" just threw all the meet to the fryer and than put it in the pan with other "parts". The soup (sweet and sour) was not sweet even sour at all. The only worthy food was standard rice, poor. The stuff/probably the familly of the owner were pretty nice, that is why I feel sorry, unfortunatelly they didn't understand AJ well and we were in a hurry (to catch the airoplane) so we couldn't had an issue, but this was one of the worst meal we had within past few years and after 2 days we still fell it in our stomach - btw.the reason we've visited Budapest was due to the gaastro quality (we wanted to visit the restaurant around the corner, but they were closed so we had to find something with good rate asap, here you can find that the rate "is not...

We ordered spicy chicken, mapo tofu, spicy fish, and cold noodles. Honestly, only the fish and cold noodles were worth recommending — they were flavorful and well-prepared.
The spicy chicken dish was mostly just chili peppers with barely any meat. Drinks were overpriced and gone after just a few sips. When we asked for some water, the waiter brought over a jug, which was appreciated — but not enough to compensate for the overall poor service.
We were also charged for a type of tea we didn’t order, and a 15% service fee was added, though there was barely any service to speak of. When one of my friends accidentally spilled their water, we had to clean it up ourselves.
Overall, the food felt like pre-made dishes, not freshly cooked. The only highlights were the spicy fish and the cold noodles. Definitely not worth the price given the quality...
Read moreI had a pleasant surprise with coming across an authentic Chinese cuisine when I needed something not too far away from where I was staying and this restaurant popped up in my search. The waitress took enough time with me to listen to my needs and recommend some suggestions and I was way more than pleased to have listened to her and try these dishes! I had pickled celery/pork ear/chicken feet (I think it was #215) and it was very refreshing (got slightly spicy kick to it with red pepper). The main dish was pork with black fungus (I think #513), it was recommendation made for my taste for spicy food and it was more than plenty for one person. I have tried authentic Chinese food numerous times in the past and this is one of the gem I found while traveling, would have gone back for another night if my schedule wasn't so tight (plus leftovers they packed for me to take with!) Strongly recommend...
