Heureka Original Greek Food — Restaurant in Budapest

An average gyro spot overall. The gyro itself was good. It was well priced at €5 and the portion size was fair. The fries, unfortunately, were soggy (I prefer them fresh and crispy), and the pita could’ve been warmed up some more.

The baklava, though, was disappointing. It lacked the typical Greek flavor and texture; there wasn’t enough syrup, the dough was soggy with no crunch or flaky layers, and the walnuts didn’t add much crunch either. Would not recommend if you really love Greek Baklava like me. If the baklava was better I would have rated this place much higher(the review for just the gyros would be higher)

It’s only a 10 min walk if you get take away to the river walk. The reviews mainly said don’t eat in so I used it as a good place to grab a bite to eat and sit down by the river for the sunset. They prepare the food...

Before I leave Budapest I wanted to leave a review for the wonderful people in this cafe. Found this cafe on google maps when I was looking for take away for my dinner to avoid the cold weather in February. I was really happy by the quality of food they served that I went back 3 times. Twice to get the souvlaki and once to try their fried chicken. I also had a dessert for every meal. The lady at the counter was helpful in spite of the crowded house and I got my order swiftly and orderly. A big shout out to the chefs for making my every take away a joyful dinner back at my hotel. The meat is well cooked and the salad was fresh and chips was good tasting. It is good to know that for travelers aboard can get good protein fiber and carbs fresh. Thanks for making my dinner splendid with your food....

Excellent. It’s hard to put into words how I could have missed this place for a full two years — this is the real deal outside of Greece, delivery fully authentic Greek food at exceptional quality and authenticity in Budapest. The gyros is something to behold of, filled with fresh grilled meat, French fries, salad and tzatziki, all together served in a soft and fresh pita bread. It’s a nice portion, tastes incredibly well, and you’d feel no difference over eating this on the streets of Athens or any Greek island. To top it off, splash it down with an original Griek bear and enjoy the entire sensation on your taste buds service is super nice and friendly, I’ll come here...
