Loved this place but I came unprepared twice and Little Italy please accept my apologies. Accepting credit card payment is required by law but Little Italy would prefer you pay in cash...and have a big sign to that effect at their register. Dumb tourist that I am, I did not have cash the first time and forgot to bring cash on my second rather impromptu visit. I also assumed service was included as it is at every restaurant I've dined in Budapest in the last two months but after bringing my family to Little Italy again tonight I think I may be wrong. The waiter seemed a bit annoyed with us when we paid again with a card which then led me to wonder if no service charge is included in the bill (and maybe that is why cash is preferred?). We scrounged together all the bills and change we had and delivered to the waiter a meager tip of about 13 percent of our bill. This, too, may have been an error because we had multiple waiters and we didn't know who to deliver the tip to. I highly recommend this place for great pizza but please bring cash with you and don't stiff the wait staff like I did the first time. Again, Little Italy....please accept my humblest apologies. I promise when I return my family of three will make...

Pizza was delicious and authentic, prices are reasonable, or, I would say, cheaper than expected! BUT: though it is a mandatory in Hungary, you can not pay by card here. There is a sign on the wall in the front room stating they accept cash only but we didn't notice that as the waitress guided us inside immediately. On the other hand, none of the waiters mentioned this before service. (Still: it is illegal. The shop keeper/manager can say their terminal is out of order or so, but, theoretically, all places in Hungary now should offer the opportunity of paying by card /qr-code.) When I expressed I was dissatisfied with this the waitress simply lied to me! .. like NAV (National Tax and Cash Administration, Hungary) was there the other day and everything was found perfect, they did not mention this to them at all, etc. It was clear I was not a NAV-inspector so she was sure they can get away with that. Her confidence pissed me off!!! Though food was great I don't think I would want to return here. We were lucky we had...

This is THE best place for pizza! I lived in Budapest for 3 years and it took me nearly 2 years to come across this place, even though i lived a few hundred meters away!

Once I found it, I would eat here 2 times a week... I know, I know I'm a disgrace! But there are soooooo many reasons why I loved it so much. The staff are amazing, very are very friendly and speak fantastic English! The pizzas here are amazing and there is a huge list of different pizzas on the menu. There is a selection of spicy oils and garlic oils on the counter to smother your pizza in. The drinks are really nice. The restaurant is cosy and comfortable. The prices are fantastic value and the quality of food is superb.

I really can't recommend it enough. Local tip... If you are hoping to eat there after 6pm... You should probably book a table to avoid disappointment!

They also do takeaway and delivery... So there are plenty of options! Don't take as long as I did to discover...

I had heard a lot about this place from local friends, so I finally had to give it a try. The atmosphere feels very authentic, and the English-speaking staff adds to the welcoming vibe. However, the opening hours are a bit tricky, so planning ahead is essential. The menu is simple and easy to navigate, offering a well-curated selection of pizzas—just enough variety without being overwhelming. I went with the Cesare pizza and a Pasticciotto Leccese for dessert. Both arrived quickly and tasted fantastic. The pizza had a great balance of toppings with a deliciously crispy crust, while the dessert, filled with Nutella, was a perfect sweet finish. Overall, I had a great lunch here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Italian flavors in Budapest. Plus, if you pay with cash, you get a discount on all pizzas—definitely worth keeping in mind!

The restaurant is on the smaller side with about 6-7 smaller tables. There are 2 rooms. The first room you’ll walk into from the entrance is the kitchen and to the right is mainly where people eat. Prices are very decent too and has a nice range of different toppings. Ranging anywhere from 1,900-3,200 for pizzas, 550-4,990 for drinks, and 1290-1490 for desserts. Do keep in mind too that they only accept cash. They specialize in pizzas and they do it very well. The food tasted wonderful and even though the pizza crust was a bit salty for my taste the calzone’s cheese and mushroom mix had such good flavour and left me wanting much more. Overall, a really nice place to hop into while walking around the city or if you’re just craving some pizza.

I do not like the idea that they demand cash only. In fact this is against the law in Hungary. But things go a bit further. If you do comply with cash, they deduct 1000ft of your pizza, but you use a phone like me to pay, you’ll end up in a debate with the staff and pay the menu price as it’s offered. The pizza is good, I’ve been here throughout my 8 years of Budapest. But the quality has gone down, while prices have doubled, and higher. This is a bit sad to see. The once great pizza is now overwhelmed with a large amount of competition. To be clear you can pay with card, but they will be resistant. This once hidden gem has deteriorated, unfortunately.
