My favorite restaurant in Szeged – absolutely a must-visit if you're in town. I really love the concept here: the creative and diverse menu, the drinks, the cozy atmosphere, and the way they keep making me come back. I've been here many times, and each visit has been a pleasure. It’s a spot full of fun memories for me, and one I often find myself wanting to return to.
I got hooked on their ramen – the pork in it is just incredible when it hits right. There were a few occasions when the pork was a bit underseasoned, and since the broth can be on the lighter side, it made the dish feel slightly off balance. But even then, I still found myself craving it again and again.
The cocktails and coffees are fantastic. The staff is kind and welcoming. Sometimes service can be a bit slow, especially during busy times, but that’s understandable – it feels like they might be a bit short-handed now and then. Even so, the team does their best, and many of them are really attentive and friendly.
Overall, I genuinely love this place. It’s always on my list when...
Read moreThe place is almost always full, so we always call the place for a reservation. A few months ago I made a reservation for our anniversary dinner, which unfortunately wasn’t recorded. The staff was very friendly, apologized many times, and we were seated at a table in a couple of minutes. We were asked to move seats twice afterwards, but we had no issues with that, we were thankful to be seated at all, because the place was full as usual. We were even promised two free drinks, which we never got. More than an hour after ordering, we still weren’t served, it seemed like they forgot about us. People arriving after us got their food way before us, which was strange. We asked a waiter and fortunately we got our food shortly after, it was delicious. I understand that they had a busy night, mistakes happen. We were still a bit disappointed that night, but I am rating the place 4 stars, because we had other, positive experiences with them...
Read moreIt could be such a nice place. Been here a few of times when the pub was really busy so we decided to give it a chance again. And again. And agian. And it failed each time. Food is nice, beer selection is okay, service is bad. They set out to be a "table service" bar yet waiters fail to act accordingly. They are standing behind the bar chatting whilst my glass is empty. I had to go back each time to ask fo another round. They also don't understand what a 'starter' means as every time we've been it always arrived with our main course. Tonight I have explicitly explained we wanted our starter before our main course, yet it arrived at the same time. I just don't understand what's so difficult about this. I think we've given enough chances to this bar and definitely won't be returning during our few months in Szeged. If you like EXCELLENT craft beer, AMAZING service and DELICIOUS food, go to either Malata or Napfeny muterem....
