100% not Indian food. £53 total bill for 2 dishes, rice, 1Nan, small cobra beer & a coke. Lovely staff, souroundings & setting, but I am surprised they are trading as an Indian restaurant. Chef not Indian but South American. Saddens me to write a negative review but I do not want another person to pay the price of low quality food & leave disappointed as we were. You have to order at the counter on arrival ( not a big issue) with in 5 mins the whole order came in small like salsa/dipping dishes. Chicken vindaloo (nothing like it) . chicken tikka masala (again nothing like it and chicken not cooked tandoori style . Very salty too had to ask for cream to drown the salt) Rice, salad (that was nice) & Naan .. which may I add was a puree Nan not a normal Nan. All this came together with in 5 minutes of ordering and both dishes were microwaved ☹️ They arrived with a dried residue over both dishes. To be totally honest microwaved dishes from my local supermarket were far more succulent and a whole lot more tastier!! Not for the pallet of people from UK. Outside others were in shock and were complaining about taste of food for the price you pay. I payed the bill but if I was at home I would have sent...

Indian food is mostly enjoyed with hands than utensils, so I walk into the men's toilet before sitting down to wash my hands and finds a busted paper towel holder with no paper towels. I mention it to the Greeter and he tells me to use the women's toilet instead of making any attempt to put some paper towels. The man spend the entire time on his phone while one waitress and one waiter cleaned and served all the customers, accepted payments, served takeaway customers, etc. Great job if he is getting paid for doing this. I would be shocked if he is an owner or partner in the establishment. Customers WiFi was not working but the staff wifi was fast, but I couldn't get access. Overall I would give a very low rating for service.

Food was ok for Iceland standards nothing outstanding. Mango Lassi was not good, we thought the first one was a fluke by mistake and asked for a second one with specific instructions but it also tasted like slushi, mostly crused ice.

Yellow Rice that came with entree was very good. The restaurant is nicely decorated with free...

Bombay Bazar offers delicious Indian cuisine with a wide variety of flavors that are sure to satisfy your taste buds. The food is well-prepared, and the spices are perfectly balanced, providing an authentic Indian dining experience. However, the portion sizes are relatively small for the price, making it feel a bit expensive for what you get.

One major downside is the service, especially if you’re dining in with a group larger than four. The service tends to be extremely slow, with long waits for orders to be taken and food to be served. Interestingly, it seems that takeout customers receive much faster service, which can be frustrating for those dining in.

Overall, while the food is good, the combination of high prices and slow service for larger groups might make you reconsider if you’re planning a sit-down meal. For a quicker and possibly more satisfying experience, opting for takeout might be a...

We needed a reservation for a Friday night. This is a perfect Indian restaurant with a modern twist. We loved it!!! Parking right in front (this is away from the city center which was a plus for us). The value for the money you pay is excellent compared to Iceland prices. The owner is serving the orders with the other employees and we valued that and support small business owners. Customer service was really nice, attentive and quick (even for a busy Friday night). First time in Reykjavik and we will definitely visit this place again before our departure. The restaurant is on a busy street so it is really easy to find. PS: make sure you order the veggie samosas, excellent choice to start your dinner. Pictured: Brinjal and Nine diamonds with onion naan extras ;).
