The food was good but the service was poor. When we arrived, there were 14 people (multiple different parties of 2 and 4) waiting in the entry to be seated but no host/hostess greeting and seating anyone. This lasted about 15 minutes until staff appeared to help seat those waiting. There was one person checking people out, but there were so many people crowded in the entry, the people leaving had to squeeze through the waiting crowd to exit. Once the one staff member checking people out finished, they summoned multiple other wait staff to come help seat people. Not sure why these other staff did not come help on their own. Once we finally got seated and ordered, the staff did not come by again to check on us. We had to proactively wave them down to get water refills and our check. There was wait staff standing around at the kitchen area so it was not an issue of them being too busy or understaffed. I initially thought this could just be how service is in Iceland but we had good service at other restaurants in Reykjavik. Staff were friendly when they were present. The food itself was good. The restaurant was clean and had a pleasant atmosphere. Parking in front was crowded Saturday at dinner time but you did not have to...
Read moreI wanted to love this place so badly; I set my sights on this place after discovering it as nearby my hotel on Google Maps before my trip to Iceland. We visited and I did expect it to be expensive, but it equated to over ÂŁ50 for 2 pizzas and a garlic bread. The pizzas were quite small, it looked as if they were part of a larger pizza which had been cut in half; they looked good, but taste-wise I wasnât that impressed and they were nothing special - quite bland and boring, with the crust being rock hard throughout most of the pizza. Upon paying, we were given a price of over 8,000kr, which I thought was too much as I had added it up to being just less before ordering. When I questioned it, I was assured that it was correct but discovered, after paying, that we were, infact, overcharged 200kr for the garlic bread (not that big of a deal but being assured that itâs correct after asking, and when paying ÂŁ50 for that amount of food, itâs not the best look). The surroundings and actual restaurant were aesthetically pleasant, itâs just a shame that the food wasnât up to the same standards. I wouldnât go back here if I visited Iceland again, and would opt for a...
Read moreFound this place on Google Maps near our hotel. Stopped in for lunch after red-eye flight since our room wasnât ready.
The pizza was indescribable. Yes, the dough is more ciabatta-style, but we found it to be delicious. They had bottles of oil at the table you could dip your crust in, definitely recommend.
We got the Margherita and the panchetta pizzas- both delicious- a few glasses of Prosecco and a few beers as we ate and relaxed. Our server (canât recall her name) and the manager were very helpful and attentive, but not bothersome.
Would definitely recommend and...
