Krúska is a prosperous establishment, and I have been a frequent patron since its establishment in 2009. In May 2021, my colleagues and I began purchasing food from the establishment. The restaurant, situated at Suðurlandsbraut 12, provides nutritious cuisine that is prepared with affection and consideration.
Friday celebration: We have developed a consistent practice of ordering a beef tenderloin with béarnaise sauce, fries, and a salad on Fridays. The béarnaise sauce is exceptional, and the beef tenderloin is particularly flavorful. This dish is exceedingly recommended.
Wednesday burger: We have recently begun ordering burgers on Wednesdays, which are also of exceptional quality.
Vegetarian, chicken, and salad dishes, as well as confectionary and coffee, are all available at Krúska. All cuisine is prepared on-site using only the highest quality ingredients, free of any additives.
A pleasant environment and exceptional service
I have frequently dined at the restaurant and have also taken visitors there. The service is exceptional, particularly that of Sanita, who offers an exceptionally elegant and comfortable experience. Additionally, other employees are exceedingly accommodating and amicable. Krúska provides a warm and inviting atmosphere in which to enjoy cuisine that has been lovingly prepared. Krúska is an excellent choice for nutritious and delectable cuisine, regardless of whether you opt to dine in or take it out. I strongly recommend Krúska and give it my highest...
Read moreA very agreeable space, in an unusual, commercially-zoned city location, decorated with cool pastel colours and characterful, arsty portraiture.
I went with friends of the management and therefore expected highly preferential treatment, and boy, did I get it. The owners were fresh back from a trip to The Coliseum and what I believe was a personal audience with The Pope. In consequence they were notably tanned, serene & benignly desposed to strangers. This augured well, but I was nevertheless jealous.
We asked for the kitchen's recommendations, and shortly afterwards, three handsomely presented plates of Steinbitur (catfish) with an exotic mango dressing and salad accompaniment arrived. We demolished it in an unseemly short time. One of our group found the portions so large that she needed a doggy-bag to deal with the surplus, which was duly & gracefully provided.
The most glamorous customer-facing colleagues happened to be present that day, which made everyone feel like we might be closing a big movie deal in Hollywood, rather than the more prosaic truth that we were merely returning from a muddy dog-walk and golf-frisbee session.
Just before our finishing coffees arrived, a sharp difference of opinion was overheard between some of the Baltic-origin members of staff: everyone was entertained; our slim knowledge of Russian was sharpened and bloodshed was avoided.
The bill arrived, and we all left replete, content and...
Read moreTidy restaurant with very pleasant staff and nice atmosphere. Several vegetarian and vegan selections. We had vegetarian lasagna and it was good. It was served with a drizzle of pesto on top that was a nice addition, but also a generous helping of some sort of thin white sauce, like a sour cream sauce, that I didn't really care for. I would simply ask them to hold the sauce if you aren't partial to sour cream. The lasagna itself was good. There was also a generous side of tossed salad and beets that were fresh and tasty. The single serving bottle of shiraz cabernet was surprisingly good, and my husband enjoyed an Icelandic...
