One of the only places along this coastline without a view, the food not making up for that. I ordered the fried shrimp and squid as a main course costing €28. Unfortunately the calamari style squid comes over cooked resulting in a chewy unflavoured dinner with small portion sizes that won’t leave you feeling satisfied. It came with a “salad” consisting of some limp baby gem lettuce half a tomato and some sliced carrot. This was truly disappointing. Similarly the pasta dishes whilst being tasty were exceedingly small and not worth the money as we left wondering where to go to get some real food. So far this has been the worst food stop on the holiday and I’m including all the late night fast food places we’ve had. I wouldn’t have minded so much but the food check up took 20 minutes, and we were seated on a shared table as the empty restaurant was “fully booked” whilst watching another couple come in afterwards without reservations go straight to a seat.

Absolutely amazing staff and some of the best Italian food I've ever had! This is a family owned restaurant and B&B that is well known for its amazing Italian food. They use fresh vegetables from their very own garden and work all day long making homemade pasta dishes and desserts. You MUST give them a try! Thank you Walter and Alicia for going the extra mile! You made our wedding dinner amazing with the special table reserved and adorned in a beautiful flowers. When our family was thousands of miles away, you both stepped in to make our day super special. Thank you! We love you both! 😍 ❤

We had a very pleasant dinner at Pinguino in Scala. Portions are HUGE and delicious. We tasted the pizza, the pasta and the calzone and everything we took was excellent. Unfortunately, due to the size of the dishes we did not get a dessert. Check the pictures below to see the high-quality bread we received when we waited for the food to arrive. Note that parking in the street is not easy to come by, so it is better to park in one of the lower streets and walk a little (-you will need the walk downhill after you ear 😊). Highly recommended restaurant if you are in Ravello or in Scala.

As a solo traveller, I had a great time. The waiter spoke excellent English, and had enough sense / sense of humour to know that if I'm in his country I must have a Green Pass. He thought I was a little little nuts for sitting outside when it was a bit chilly, but he still served me without complaint and checked in occasionally. I ordered the local selection of appetizers and the baked gnocchi, and I don't know if I'll ever be able to look at gnocchi the same way back home. It was all excellent. Best food I had in the Amalfi region/south of Italy.

The yummiest food in Scala! Our taxi driver recommended this place, so we took the chance & walked there - the service was excellent, very convenient that they are open until 10:30 to serve food. The waitress who looked after us was so hospitable and friendly. Plus, the food is amazing!! You must try their pizze menu, it’s so thick and well cooked. They even accommodated us to eat outside and put together a little, cozy table for us. Grazie!!

We had an excellent meal here! Lovely setting outside and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Service slowed a bit as we got going as lots of people started turning up, but we weren't in a rush so got to relax and enjoy. The tagliatelle with mushroom and sausage is some of the best pasta we've had in Italy. The pizza is excellent, with very tasty dough and a great texture. We look forward to visiting again!
