Kai
If you’re in Vishakhapatnam and craving an exceptional Pan-Asian experience, look no further than Kai. This place is a true gem, offering an ambiance that blends sophistication with warmth, creating the perfect setting to enjoy fantastic flavors.
From the moment we walked in, the hospitable staff made us feel at home and guided us through their extensive menu. As vegetarians, we were thrilled to see the wide variety of options that didn’t compromise on flavor. Every dish was a burst of taste and texture, and you can really feel the quality of ingredients in each bite.
We started with the Stir-Fried Edamame, which was the yummiest we’ve ever had! The Vegetable Uramaki was super crunchy and satisfying, and the Crispy Thai Lotus Stem with sweet chili glaze was an addictive mix of sweet and spicy. For the main course, the Veg Ramen was comforting and packed with layers of flavor.
The mocktails were spot-on as well! We tried the Taro Bubble Tea, Tender Coconut Colada, and the Orange and Basil Mojito. Each drink complemented our food perfectly, adding a refreshing touch to the meal.
Overall, Kai delivered an exceptional experience with its ambiance, taste, and top-notch service. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and left feeling like this could very well be the best Pan-Asian spot in Vishakhapatnam. Highly...
Read moreSadly i don't have any photos. But this was my first experience. In the past had experience with Mekong few times, and also gone through novetal's roof top Red bowl asian cusine. They were really good and Novetal's was wonderful. But i come to this experience with Kai, it really bad. Thought to visit because of the pictures i saw in the google. But yeah, after we sat, we order two sushi and one dimsum. First came the lamb dimsum, and it was awfully tasted like a minced chicken that is stuffed inside a normal momo that we eat at street side. (Just to be clear, ive gone through various number of restaurants on asian food around the globe and the actual dimsum usually be round and stuffed around with a thin layer of ball.). Next comes the two sushi. They were so dry that we had to call them and ask for replacement. They did tried to defend us back that, it is how it usually be. But no.! It shouldnt be like that. So they did replaced but the sushi was really bad after they came back again. If i tried to catch them up with chop-sticks, they would just break off. THEY should consider changing the sticks to wood because, man.! They didn't even trail the sushi before with their existing chop sticks. They are the worst. I would recommend everyone to visit the red bowl at novetal...
Read moreThe experience is mixed. We enjoyed tempura vegetables and Sushi is good. The serving of sushi is a bit unusual to our experience of Japanese restaurants. The soy sauce bowls accompanying sushi were not provided to all the guests at the table. The soy sauce was too salty for sushi and less balanced for our taste. Our steward Mr. Hemant upon request to make the soy sauce more balanced to match sushi, has indicated to us that it is not possible to tweak the sauce and that we are free to add salt or sugar at our end at the table and that the chef cannot balance the soy sauce to our liking which is unusual and borderline rude. I think the service staff need to be trained a bit more about japanese food and handling guests in general. Not upto ITC level at all. We had to request the staff to light the candle for us on the table after waiting for them to light it on their own. The table was full of water stains and could have been cleaned with some solvent regularly. The mocktails were very basic had no special attention paid at all. We did not proceed to main course as the service was below ITC level and not...
