Barbeque Nation - Guwahati Udeshna — Restaurant in Assam

I have been to Barbeque nation since Bangalore days back in 2013 but I never had a bad experience like yesterday..Barbeque nation is known for buffet and live counters but to my surprise I have seen a rapid decline in menu items be it Barbeque, main course and live counter..previously live counter used to have different non-veg and veg items which will be cook in front of you with choices of your taste but now they just have Pani puri, and chaat items..especially in this barbecue nation I have felt that the staffs were either less of not want to work as per customer..when I order drinks it literally took 1/2 hour for drinks to arrive on table which was packaged juice and lime soda..30 min for packaged juice what service is that..and then the items on starter are very less compared to old days. We had to remind multiple captains to give sauce and chutney many times before it is given to us, the main course meal was average in taste but there were very less item and to my surprise few were empty when we arrived to pick the main course.. I had to ask multiple times for water, spoon and a small glass which didn’t arrived at table at all..plus the worst part is the live music and oh hod it was such loud that I had headace listening to kabhi khusi kabhi ghar, kabhi na pyaar hai and what not bollysongs which was a live performance..I asked captains and team to reduce the volume a bit as it’s irritating and the voice of singer was also not very good..but they didn’t reduce the volume and said that it’s live so can’t do..I saw the family having dinner near to live performance left the table and asked for a different table possibly because they were not able to handle it..

Overall I would suggest absolute Barbeque as atleast they have a better menu and better ambience..here my wife birthday and Mother’s Day celebration with family went for a toss and we all regretted visiting there for last night..seriously never had a worst experience then this before.

Buffetttt alert ! ⚠️ •Visited the Udeshna outlet of Barbeque Nation. It was opened quite a few months back. •The place oozes out exuberance and poshness. •Booked the table by call.

STARTERS : •For starters, we were served a platter of your 'barbeque' items. •It included tandoori chicken, fish, paneer tikka, pineapple roast, corn, pani puri, veg kebabs, soya chaap, prawns (which is my first preference anyday) •All of the items tasted really good, along with the chutneys that were provided. •Also tried a tomato-based soup to increase the appetite.

ENTRÉE : •There is a plethora of options for the main course. Obviously opted for the nonveg. •There was chicken biryani, veg biryani, fish curry, mutton kosha, chicken, noodles and manchurian, and many more. •The mutton was to die for. •Surprisingly the variety in the salads was impressive.

DESSERT 🤤 : •Probably the one thing I am always so excited about attending a buffet. •The dessert menu over here boasts of a lot of delicious and celebrated items like brownies, red velvet, black forest, yellow forest, jellos, gulab jamuns, kheer, sewaiyan, four ice cream flavours and kulfis. •But i missed my New York Cheese cake.

■There is also a LIVE COUNTER available where you can order chaats, crispy chicken(tbh they tasted like those from KFC), pasta etc. ■The waiters are really courteous and stick to your needs. ■No hard alcohol served. ■Bill is brought to the table itself.

The price per person was Rs 734 for the night. (Mon/Tue)

Beginners tip : •Don't overeat the starters too much (especially the fried corn) it will fill you up in no time and you won't be able to enjoy the rest of the meal. •Download the Barbeque Nation app for some minimal offers. •Don't expect any kind of complimentary drinks for dinner. A very personal experience about a food counter with which my father has an emotional attachment. Hence have to visit quite a number of times throughout the year round. Yesterday me and my family thought of visiting the Barbeque Nation in Udeshna, GS road, Guwahati. Quite far from our place but still thought of giving it a try. We are quite frequent to the Barbeque nation in Adityam Building, Lachitnagar, Guwahati and designed several beautiful memories from the time it started there. So, naturally no qualms about it's quality. But the joint of the same company in Udeshna was a total setback to the already opinionated good views we initiated in ourselves. *Food was the same. *Hospitality nearing zero(which actually is the USP of the company). *From 3 PM onwards(we entered at 2PM) they started hinting on closure of their starters. *Manager and staff very novice to the trade. *Dealings and conversations immature. *No refund on pre-booking. *No life in either staff or ambience. *Even the birthday song is different from all the other barbeques 🤣 *Very dark vibes. *No feedback review book(hence writing here). My ardent request to Barbeque Nation to please see into the matter and do the needful so that people who visit the joint with such high expectations do not have to return with such...
