Went to have lunch in this place on 2nd Sept 23 was looking for some place to relax and enjoy some home-made like food. Ordered Naga chicken thali amounted to 320 for a minimalist plate.. with boiled vegetables, mashed potato, dal, chicken fry, naga chicken spicy curry, one piece cucumber and some pickle... It was too overpriced in comparison to other restaurants like missing kitchen or maihang thalis which offer so much more at similar price including a sweet dish as well, however Naga kitchen provides none... the ambience of the place is well lit and hygienic.. the staff of the place seemed to be a bit restless for no reason.. after having my food and paying up my bill i sat for about 5mins in the table as i was waiting for my friend to arrive in downtown so thought it would be better to wait at the restaurant itself rather than outside in the scorching heat and even though the restaurant had ample of empty tables the staff was asking me to leave the place... I don't know how one will feel when someone was asked to leave even after paying the bills and had their over priced blant food, but i felt very bad.. i was sitting for only another 5mins is that a crime? Or is it not allowed? Or didn't i pay my bills? Or what was it? I would not recommend this place at all as there are far better places than facing some arrogant and impaitent staff also would give zero rating to the food, may be this place is good for only one item that is pork for rest of the things its better not to opt this place.. moreover i will recommend my friends and family to avoid this place at all circumstances... Thank you for...
Read moreNice and delicious food but very very costly. Some regulatory body need to be there to stop these high pricing by all the Restaurants & Eateries. Its damn costly. But the staffs are very well behaved and have great sense of hospitality. I visit Naga Kitchen since the time when they started their venture in their AIDC Residence and the customers need to sit on the sofa of their living room. At that point of time, they dint have the restaurant. Later they opened the restaurant in AIDC in their residence only. And over a period of time, they grew and grew.... Heartiest congratulations to owner and the entire team. But as a human nature, as we start earning, our wants and greed also grows and thats what happened with Naga Kitchen....they started earning and their greed also grew and now they charge Rs. 310 for 1 portion of Smoked Pork ( 8 pieces). I am taking time to write such a long review, so that the owner goes through it and have a relook at the pricing of all items in their Menu. No doubt their cuisines are very good and tasty as well, but that doesn't mean that the pricing should be irrational. Hope Naga Kitchen wont mind as this is my...
Read moreAs someone genuinely obsessed with Naga food, discovering Naga Kitchen in Guwahati has been an absolute delight. This place offers one of the most authentic Naga cuisine experiences you can find in the city. I’ve visited many times, and it never disappoints.
The highlight for me is their fresh pork cooked with dry bamboo shoot — it’s supremely flavorful and cooked to perfection. Their Naga Thali is another must-try, offering a wholesome variety of traditional dishes that truly reflect the essence of Naga culinary heritage. I also highly recommend their Axone (fermented soybean) with chicken — the aroma and depth of flavor are simply amazing.
While the pricing is slightly on the higher side, I find it completely justified given the top-notch quality and generous quantity of food served. The ingredients are fresh, and the authenticity of flavors stands out in every bite.
Whether you’re already a fan of Naga cuisine or exploring it for the first time, Naga Kitchen is a place that should be...
