We had no issue with the place, the people around were very well behaved, till the time the bill came in. And that was when we saw the real faces. We asked the waiter to remove the "service charge", to which he started arguing that the same cannot be removed. After letting him know that it is not true, the waiter very rudely kept the bill after finally getting it removed, did not even bother to listen to us, and walked away. We literally had to ask someone else to call him to get the card machine and to top it all, the way he swiped the card and behaved, we honestly did not understand how someone so courteous can change in a minute as service charge was paid.

Consumer Affairs Ministry guideline has clearly stated that it is the customer’s choice to pay service charge or not. The customer will be in a position to decide whether he is willing to pay the service charge only after availing the service. Also, restaurants cannot assume that the entry of a consumer into a restaurant amounts to consent to pay the service charge.

Not bad- for Guwahati! Anybody ever heard of IPA? Well, they shipped it all back home when they kicked out the "Britishers" I guess. You would think a beer with India featured prominently in the name would be plentiful in India? Not a chance, and you would certainly think a bar with beer in it's name would have many, many beers? Well, India is more of a cocktail and shot drinkers bar culture in regards to my experience- a couple of cold beers at 5pm are medicinal anyways, no matter where you are. HERE'S what I really liked about this place- the bar food was great- tacos and other things I was missing we're cheap and delicious. The service was honestly great. It was dark in there- which is always a good thing for a pub in my opinion. The beer was cold. Cold but limited selection- Simba, Kingfisher (Indian beer that comes in 3 categories- 1) ale, 2) hard, 3) extra hard! Ha! What a trip- extra hard is right up there with malt liquor- this is typical beer culture in India. There was also Tuborg, Carlson's, and maybe Heineken. I have visited the place twice, the decor & the ambience is good, one of the best in Guwahati but my only problem is with the food,they simply manipulate the conventional recipe,in my first visit i ordered for Spaghetti Meatballs,but shockingly meatballs were missing,today i ordered for Veg Caesar Salad,i asked the waiter which cheese you are giving with the salad ,he told me its parmesan which actually should be but to my surprise i was served mozzarella chunks, guys you cannot fool everyone,just because people in Guwahati don't have much exposure as far as international cuisine is concerned,plz dont make them fool,i have just tried two of their dishes(wrong dishes i mean),and i don't have any expectations left from you guys, suggest you guys to work on your basics first which will help in the long run, otherwise some big fish willl come and eat you even without you knowing it.SHOWBAAZI...
