A nostalgic jewel tucked away in Malleswaram Bengaluru. For the older inhabitants, the Pubs were akin to the British Public Houses, famed for Food as well as the Drinks. Pub Lunches and Sunday Roasts while they do not exist locally the concept of excellent starters and finger food are the norm in the old eateries. Retiring to 1522, it's named after the Door No and frequented by the same set of people. Patrons usually know each other. Seating: Quite crowded on weekends, better to book a table in advance Music: Rock, Blues and Melodic Metal with the tempo upping progressively and climaxing with a free Kannada numbers! Beer: By the Tap and fresh. Pitcher & Tower options available. Hard Liquor: Yes. Starters: Good coverage of the Sea, Air & Land! Mutton and Pork signature dishes are classy. The Fried Egg is a must try for the not so calorie conscious. Squid and Mangalore style fried fish were delicious. Salads, French Fries and fried wafers even brings memories of the childhood for the Vegetarians. Main Dishes: Seafood & Rice and few other signature dishes. Never reached there though.. Smoking: Yes, in a seperate section. Have to pass through to reach the Rest Rooms. Cost: Reasonable. About 1400 INR (Rs) per head after a whole evenings partying and ordering all possible sorts of starters and beer to wash them down! A good place for those who liked the Old Town Pubs - Guzzlers Inn, Night Watchman, Pecos, Downtown and yes the famous Dewars which sadly could not patronize. Parking: Not sure. My second visit to this place, previously visited 3 months ago and liked the food, ambience and service. Came back today to experience the same once again. Booked a table for 2 at 2 PM via Swiggy Dineout. Finding a table wasn't difficult though considering it was a Wednesday afternoon. As already mentioned, the ambience is so good with brick wall type interiors, matched with appropriate lighting throughout. We occupied the 1st floor and the entire floor was segregated into smoking and non smoking zones. The music played was also very pleasant and soothing to the ears, without making the listeners feel irritated. Ordered following dishes: Veg fingers Boiled corn salad Shanghai veg dry Palak rice Walnut brownie with ice cream Along with a beer ! All dishes were extremely tasty without being too much spicy- probably they can have some spicy options here and suggest the customers based on their preferences. The service was also pretty quick. Delight in the delectable offerings; I recommend the delectable American crispy corn, the flavorful spicy French fries (though they charge for the mayo), the succulent French chicken, the zesty Lemon chicken, the flavorful Egg Pepper dry, and the satisfying Tungda grill chicken.

An array of alcoholic choices awaits, although the availability of beer towers may vary.

The service was good. The manager ensured our experience was pleasant, even providing us with an additional pitcher at almost closing time even though our server denied us. However, the music can sometimes be too loud, and Hindi songs are discouraged, with Kannada tunes only preferred at late hours. For those seeking a quieter atmosphere, the top floor is a haven with mellow music and a no-smoking policy.
