I recently visited a A2B @ BDA Complex, HSR Layout and had mixed feelings about my experience. While the food was undeniably good, I was disappointed with the overall maintenance and hygiene of the place. It was quite evident that the restaurant lacked proper cleanliness and upkeep.

The moment I entered, I noticed a lack of cleanliness in the dining area. Tables were not properly wiped, and the floors seemed dirty. This immediately affected my perception of the restaurant. Furthermore, the washrooms were in a deplorable state, with uncleaned sinks and unpleasant odors.

The most uncomfortable aspect of my visit was the faulty air conditioning system. The restaurant was supposed to provide a cool and pleasant environment, but the AC was barely working. It felt stuffy and uncomfortable, especially on a warm day. This made it difficult to fully enjoy my meal and ruined the overall dining experience.

While the food itself was delicious, the unsatisfactory maintenance and hygiene overshadowed the positive aspect. It is crucial for any restaurant to prioritize cleanliness and create a comfortable atmosphere for their customers. I hope the management takes note of these issues and improves the overall conditions of the establishment, as it has the potential to be a great dining spot with a few...

Worst service. Bad food. They are least bothered about the customers. Big No to A2B. Hi

This refers to your response to my review comment posted today.

We went to A2B, BDA Complex, HSR Layout for breakfast today.

There was hardly two waiters to serve the crowd and we were not aware of this.

After serving the first order, no body turned up to ask for what we need. We were looking out for our waiter to get a spoon, for a cup of sambar etc., no one came to us for more than 30 minutes.

Then I went to the cash counter in charge and told him my problem of waiting for 30 minutes and wanted to order for a coffee. He said that we have only two servers on duty and hence helpless.

When I told him that they should put no service board for few tables so that we know the situation. He said that can't be done.

Today's food was the worst we have ever had in any of your branches in all these years. Many of the items were salty. The chutney and sambar was not good. Except for the coffee, of course.

It's a horrible experience and you guys made this Sunday a worst day.

I will think twice before I step into any...

The restaurant has been a popular choice for South Indian food in Bangalore for quite a while. I feel there is considerable scope for improvement in several areas. The staff's courtesy leaves room for improvement. They are not unfriendly, but their service feels rushed and inattentive at times, which detracts from the experience. Their menu is extensive, but the quality of the food has sadly gone downhill over time. The masala dosa, a classic favorite, was very disappointing. The dosa was swimming in oil - it may fill you up. However, after a couple of hours after, it leaves you feeling bloated soon. I couldn’t help but wonder about the quality of the oil they use, as it felt heavy on the stomach. It’s hard to enjoy a meal when it leaves you feeling uncomfortable and forcing you to reach for antacid tablets later. Expecting tips, after 18% tax feels a bit inappropriate. It's something that left a bad taste after an otherwise average meal. I feel that the overall experience is slipping. With better attention to ambiance, improved staff courtesy, and more care in food preparation, this place could probably regain its...

A2B is famous for South Indian cousine with a Tamil Nadu touch or taste. Best eaten from the restaurant, the dosa (dosha) and Vada (Medhu /Uzhunnu) are crisp and crunchy. The idlis fluffy and steamy. These days takeaway is a more practical option and the packing is clean and hygienic. Packaging: Sambar and chutneys are provided in aluminium foil pouches.Idli, Dosa and other dishes are packed in plastic coated cardboard boxes. Only Curd Vada and Sambhar Vada comes in single use Plastic Containers. Taste: South Indian Tamil Nadu cuisine is the catagory you can slot into. Idli is steamy and soft. Once cool feels a bit crumby to the palate. Vada is of a good size, lost some of its crispiness in delivery but still good. Sambar is mildly spicy (indian standards) and onion based. Small onions, carrot, beans, drumsticks are used. Note: This is different from Karnataka Sambar, which is sweeter and devoid of veggies. White Chutney has flavours of freshly grated coconut ground with green chillies. Red Chutney leans heavily towards tangy, based on tomato puree with undertones of coconut flavour. Portion Sizes: Fair
