BANOFFEE — Restaurant in Bengaluru

The best in life is at times the obvious quaint option we feel afraid to exercise because we are so used to pursuing the outstanding, the excellent or the impossible. Banoffee is that quaint option, happily hidden from the chaos in a non descript building with not much shouting at you for attention.

The seating is simple, the tables are stable and attention has been paid to ensure that they dont rock, further they (the tables) have a small QR code which when you scan gets you access to an elaborate menu with literally a 100 food options. Your server makes sure you have bottled water on the table, and there seems to be no option to deny it, but thats ok i guess.

As you browse the menu you add the items of your choosing to a web portal which requires a simple name+phone number login integrated with a whatsapp platform. You place the order via the web portal directly, and best part is the option of adding notes, like in my case - ordering an ice chilled Americano sans sugar!

The billing is equally simplistic, whatever you ordered, including the bottled water is already on your phone on the browser, and you use the same to make the payment - and you exit.

What makes this entire experience special is that it is absolutely non intrusive, no one bothers you about the order, no one intrudes into your personal space at all, the servers are well trained and are well acclimatized with the process work flow, so even with the bill no one bothers you, you pay and leave (Assuming you pay the right amount with gratuity as per your experience). This is exactly how life ought to be, at peace with yourself, with not many intrusions, I loved the fact that all the time at the restaurant was devoted to a quality interaction with my partner, and the only intrusion was the food being delivered - hardly an intrusion at all.

The restroom is clean, parking is in plenty at the BDA complex, the place doesnt seat too many and its a perfect little piece of heaven.

I will return again and keep my reviews...

We had a craving for English breakfast and hence visited the place and the experience and service was great. We headed during weekday morning at 10am , though the cafe is popular for its breakfast , we didn't find many customers during morning time.

At the entrance we were greeted by friendly front desk receptionist who walked us in. The restaurant doesn't encourage hard copy menu, and it's only loaded based on the QR code scanning.

We ordered Full English Breakfast Chicken, and the service was quick and the quality was amazing. They have a wide range of eng breakfast option , so the ones who only eat specific protein like only chicken have specific breakfast option without the need of customising the order to replace other meat with chicken. For the appetizers we ordered Caribbean wings, which was cooked to perfection with a precise amount of sweetness and heat flavour.

The ambience is peaceful, calm and you get amazing morning vibe. The staffs were super friendly and professional.

I would like to take a star out of this cafe for multiple reason.

1. No Tea ( Chai ) : The cafe has tea , like black tea, red tea or green tea. But they don't have normal Indian Tea ! This is a eng breakfast cafe ,i understand and we don't expect aloo parota or chana batura is served here but most of us would prefer normal tea for breakfast which is not available.

2. Washroom : Washroom is clean, but they had some issues with the water when we visited.

3. Chicken wings : The wings flovour was amazing like i mentioned above , However some of the wings size was very small.

Overall, the place is very good and i would highly recommend anyone to visit this place who crave for...

The Cafe is in HSR Layout, just Opposite to BDA complex, has a calm, cozy, and perfect for intimate dining with dear friends and family. There is few seats outside as well.

Must talk about the owner of the Cafe Vishal, I have never met a restaurant owner who is so passionate about cooking and serving food for his customers, he takes lot of efforts to serve yummy food with fresh, high quality ingredients.

The highlight of the Cafe is their Awesome breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus.

Here’s a brief look at what I enjoyed at Banoffee Cafe.

Farm Fresh Breakfast ; has everything you want for a vegetarian brunch. Baked beans, Mashed potatoes, Fresh veggies, Mashed Paneer ( was yummy 😋) potato brownie, and Mushrooms..with toasts with butter.

If you’re in the mood for an equally hearty dish with lots of veggies, go for the steaks, I tried the veg one, The plate is piled with Flavoured rice, Mashed potatoes, Vegetable patty, ( you have multiple options in this ) and lots of vegetables...and some crunchy french fries as well.

My favorite dish that we tried was their signature dish from the dessert menu..a delightful Banoffee Pancake, The Banoffee pancake is made with multiple layers of pancakes and banana covered in toffee syrup, and accompanied with maple syrup and one more..( forgot the name ) brings all of the yumminess together, and it was delicious!Their pancakes are must try.

The food here is the kind of comfort food that fills you up without weighing you down too much, and there’s definitely something for everyone here. The staff is warm, welcoming, and accommodating, and I think you’ll enjoy dining here with good friends and...
