After waiting for 45 minutes we got a table for ourselves. One of the persons from our group had been here earlier and was very appreciative of the food. We ordered the food and the food started coming to our table pretty fast . About t food... What should I say I don't know.. The worst I have had n recent times..

I am not sure how old or new this place is but the staff definitely needs to be trained on how to talk to customers. I would like to make a special mention about one of the staff there Akash Sharma, I am not sure if he was a server of their manager, but he definitely needs a good training on behavioral skills. When we complained him about the food not being up to the mark, his temper went on to a next level. He was neither accepting the fact that food was tasting real bad nor was he apologetic about this. When I told him I am definitely going to post a review about my experience, he said do whatever, I wonder how such people land up in hospitality industry.

After coming out I met the owner of the place, Mr. Ashwin, then I realized where the staff is getting their attitude from. When I explained him the entire episode, there didn’t seemed to be a single trace of apology on his face.

I am not food blogger nor an expert in restaurant review, but here is my unbiased review about this pathetic place called Baba Chatkora. Definitely put this place under “never to visit ever again” list.

Went here for lunch on a weekend. We tried reserving in advance and found that there are no reservations on weekends. The waiting time for a table of 4 was 20 minutes for us. The place itself is not that big and can accommodate roughly 30 people. We tried their barbecue platter, butter roti, missi roti and veg jalfrezi. The platter was tasty and delightful. The soya chaps were the highlight here. The masala was creamy and tasty. They just melted in the mouth and we enjoyed every bite. The rotisserie and virtues were also tasty. The veg gravy portion was good and I liked the proportion of veggies as it was packed with them. Butter milk was a little too watery for my liking. This should have been a little more dense and more spicy. The waiters were very polite and friendly. They accepted our order before table was assigned and made sure we were served shortly after we occupied the table. There is no service charge charged in the bill but there’s a small box to tip the waiters. I liked this system as all waiters who were nearby were accepting our orders. There were nice decorations on the ceiling which gave a good Punjabi vibe. There was a box of perfumes at the reception which anyone could pick and buy, and the staff told me the owner is also into making perfumes. Maybe it should have been displayed in shelves so people can have a better look and try them out. Overall a great experience and highly recommended...

🍽️A small cozy place giving out the right Punjabi vibes , serving the right Punjabi food; that’s babachatkora for you. But..but...it does not serve Butter Chicken or other non-veg items synonymous with Punjabi food. Breaking the stereotypes it dishes out delicious vegetarian fare from North India.

🍽️The menu consists of various drool-worthy food n in order to try something of everything we ordered their Maharaja Platter , consisting of Stuffed Achari Chaap, Jungli Mirch Panner Tikka, Malai Paneer tikka, Stuffed Mushroom, Dahi ke Kebab.

With perfect marination and cooked to perfection the Chaaps are must-try items here ( we ordered Malai Chaap too; afterall how often u get to taste this authentic dish😊) . And I really love dahi ke kebab too. Gulp down the food with their Shikanjavi , made with authentic masala from Modinagar (UP)

🍽️Though they have Rice, Biryanis, Thaalis n other gravy items, my heart was fixed on Amritsari Kulche, so that’s what we had next. Served with Chole , Chtney n butter , the taste of multi-layered crispy Kulcha is quite close to the Amritsari ones.

And if u ever visit this place , which u should, don’t forget to pair your meal with their thick Matka Lassi; its amazing. .

🍽️In desserts Brownie sizzler can be given a miss but not the Gajar ka halwa 😋
