This BALAJI Hotel is having the history of half century and the presently second generation is running this hotel. We have seen the first Generation owner, Mr.Chettiyar (that’s what we use to call him) was customer friendly and was interacting almost with all customers about the quality of food and asking for suggestions. At that time it was 10 feet width and 20 feet depth outlet. It was very surprising to see a hotel near any railway station serving quality,quantity and healthy food inspite of flouting customers and the same motto of their father is being carried by the second Generation brothers. One brother looking after every preparations in the kitchen and elder one other managements. Nowhere in India you will find such a tasty quality, quantity and clean food in the vicinity of a railway station. Every where it is like “make the hay when the sun shines” attitude. This restaurant is located after the main entrance of KSR Bengaluru railway station, where it’s the drop off for autos.

It is clean, considering the numerous people who’re coming and going and spending some time to eat.

Since, was in quite the hurry to have a breakfast and be of on our way, stopped by at this place.

All that was taken was pongal. Excellent in taste. No complaints about it whatsoever. Quantity, it’s okay for a regular person. Slightly less for our taste. But wouldn’t complaint. Bengaluru loves to scam people in the name of food. Their chutney was decent enough thick(moderate water mixed). Quantity was quite good. Raita wasn’t too watery. Decent quantity too. Both the accompaniments were good in quantity and more than sufficient for the below average Pongal that was provided.

Price is reasonable compared to other places and roadside vehicles. Quality is maintained as well.

Overall, would recommend this place instead of the roadside vehicles for breakfast when you have no choice...

I went there with Wife and my son. We just landed in BLR City station (KSR) early in the morning. Our hotel check in was at 12 PM (????) So, we used the railway lounge facility at KSR to get fresh and then we needed breakfast. So, we went to Balaji as it is right at the station. Please be advised that it is a fast food restaurant where floating is high. Don't expect very courteous service. If you have lot of luggage, don't go. If you are planning for a leisurely meal, this is not the place. You better eat fast and go. They are very busy. The food is very nice. We had several items like Idly, Dosa and Poori. All are good and served hot. The place is clean enough. Take your own water or buy a bottle. Price is reasonable. I would definitely go there.again if I go...
